Easily mass produced, flat, Chirstmas card with WOW factor wanted

I am starting to stress about my Christmas cards. I've been searching the gallery to no avail yet. Why is it so hard to find a card that is easily reproduced (70) flat, for easy mailing, and has a nice WOW factor? Oh and as an added kink I am trying to come up with one using sets and supplies I already have

Not really looking for advice, just wondering if anyone else is in my boat?

I haven't really begun my mass production of my Christmas cards yet. So in that aspect I am in the same boat. I have a few designs lined up and will go with them. And for those on my list that don't appreciate homemade (can you believe there are some) I will send them the "store" cards with my childrens picture printed on it. I get them done at Costco.

If you search the Gallery using keywords such as clean and simple, CAS, one layer, no layer, ccc06, ccc07, ccc08, you might find something that catches your eye.

There are a ton of cards in the gallery that are easily reproducible and flat, the thing is to take those ideas or concepts and tweak them to your supplies.

I also find that the WOW factor that I am looking for is achieved with heat embossing or bling (I love stickles for this) which is something that isn't easily seen in photographs. HTH

Here is one of my oldie but goodie flat Christmas card designs:

Sunset Santa card

I first made this design for Christmas cards in 2006 but I made a few of them again this year but with a blue twilight sky and I added some glitter to the trees and snow line.

The masking and chalking don't take too long and as the stamping is done in black and there is no colouring in, it makes for a good card to mass produce.

That is a great card. You could even punch the circle ornament out of lovely pattern paper and adhere instead of stamping. (shh!)

It's a little hard to tell, but the stickles really gives it the shimmer. I did these with supplies I had on hand.

I loved doing this one last year. I should have used it as my Christmas card, because it was much less extravagant than the card I actually sent out. It is on shimmer white cardstock, which adds a little something to it. ;)

I went to the gallery and cased cards using the stamp sets that I have. I found several different ones that were really fast and had the WOW factor. I did up 10 of each one so that I could send cards to each side of the family and still have them each get a different card. Sorry I still haven't figured out how to link pictures and I haven't started a gallery of my own yet, it is on my to do list in the new year. Good luck making your cards. All the other cards that I have seen on this thread are wonderful, thanks for sharing.

I have a different take...in that b/c I make so many other homemade gifts, with stamped tags, labeling, etc. I don't make my xmas cards! I figure the season is busy enough, and to not add the stress on top of it. Plus, b/c you send to so many people, and most people just toss them, i figure may as well just by the $5 boxes at Target. Sometimes I will just make a few nice cards for my family members, hubby, close friends - people who i know appreciate the handiwork.

My advice if you haven't started yet, is not to! However, if you have to make them, I think a simple cut of red/green cardstock with a simple graphic and sentiment stamped in black on the front. Maybe add a little glitter and your done. I'm sure the brilliant ladies here will have some great suggestions!

Wow- the ones made with "Lovely as a Tree" are wonderful- I just got this set today and can't wait to play with it!! A great holiday card and nice and flat too

I have a few cards that I'm experimenting with for my cards this year. With this one, Forums at Splitcoaststampers you could leave off the foam mounting tape & it would be a 'flat' card.

This one is really easy, no stamping at all, just a Cuttlebug, some stickers & a good pair of scissors Forums at Splitcoaststampers you can also do it in different colours like, this one Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Hope these give you some more/other ideas. My other cards this year (I can't just stick to 1 or 2 designs) can't be flattened & take a lot more time or care.

WOW Such beautiful cards and lots of inspiration. You gals of SCS are the best. I was in the same boat as the OP and was feeling kind of down, but this thread has given me enough ideas to keep me busy tomorrow.

Also it feels good to know that I am not the only starting out this late on my Christmas cards.
