Have you seen this? Totally awesome! The biggest excitement for me was we are going to carry gingham plaid in different colors and the famous black and white! Yahoo! Here's what I got from Marci Hill on a Yahoo!Group:
Ok, ladies. Here's my "rundown" of the Winter Mini... Stop reading if you want to wait for yours!! :-)
HA set is called "Occassionally". It reminds me of the Bold Shapes set, where the ink is on the background of the stamp and the image is actually the color paper you used. Anyway, it has wedding bells, a party hat, a phone, an alarm clock, a heart, Rx bottle with a flower in it, a baby face, and a flower.
As for the stamp sets, there's another called "Office Ephemera" that has the aged, great for Heritage pages kind of feel... I hope that makes sense...
A great set called "Mon Ami", set of 4, and has 3 hearts with different "fill in" images (One says "mon ami" repeated, one has different words like adore, tenderness, affection, love etc across the heart, and one with a distressed type solid heart with "amour" across it). There is also a square stamp with the heart cut out, and a big "L" in the middle .
Oh, and we're getting gingham ribbon!! Lt pink, Lt blue, red and black are in the mini.
The stampin guide is called the "stampin around wheel guide". It looks like 2 clear rulers that can attatch to make a long guide to run the wheel against to make straight lines. It has rubber feet so that it wont slide around.
"Bundle up" stamp set has an ice skate, winter hat, sweater, mittens, "brrr..." snowflakes, and a border type stamp with a checkerboard pattern that has snowflake/astricks on them.
"Going Out in Style" is perfect for the Red Hat society groups... It has 3 different hats, a picture of a lady with a hat & boa, and 3 phrases: "Boa Babe" "Hats off!" and (one of my favorite quotes..) "Well behaved women rarely make history - LT Ulrich". This also has a matching jumbo wheel with hats.
Vintage Brads are back again, and will also be in the new IB&C.
"Catchin Air" set of 2 has a snowboarder and "catchin Air" in kind of a whispy font so it looks like it's being blown by the wind.
"Poetry in Motion" is a set of 4 for gymnastics & dance. Has 3 of ladies doing gymnastics, and a phrase "The essence of all art is to have pleasure in giving pleasure."
"Prehistoric Party" is a birthday dinosaur set. "Toucan of My Love" has a toucan with a heart and says "a little toucan of my friendship", a kangaroo that says happy valentines day, a fish with heart air bubbles, and says "you're fin-tastic!", a to/from stamp, "here's a treat 'cause you're so sweet!" and "Happy Valentines Day!"
"More Petal Prints" Yep!! just what it sounds like!! a set of 3 in the same style as the original...
"Love is in the air" has a background stamp of "xoxoxox", a tiny tag that says love, 3 heart stamps, LOVE spelled out on hearts, and a flower stem and flower.
New "Alphahearts" and "Alphaheart numbers" with hearts instead of circles like the Alphadots...
Jumbo wheel called "Fine Foliage"
"Flower Factory" set of 13 with different flowers and leaves.
"Collage Alphabet" & "Collage Alphabet Numbers" have a great 'distressed' feel to them...
a new "Canvas" background stamp
"See with the heart" is another heritage type set
and "Curvy Verses" is a set of 8 phrases, all on curved lines.
I hope this will be on the website soon. My discriptions just don't do them justice!!
I'm so excited! I know what I'm getting for Christmas!
Enoy!

I received mine today and I'm totally pysched!!!! There are soooo many great new sets and of course the ribbon, woohoo the ribbon. Usually I find one or two sets that I might buy-- but in this mini I HAVE TO HAVE almost all of them!!!
I received my mini catalog on Friday. I just loved curvy curves and the wheel roller guide. Even though I probably won't be ordering the snowboarding and gymnastics sets since they do not relate to me or my customers, I am really impressed that Stampin' Up listened to our requests. I read so many posts on the SU board of people wanting these sets. I think that they try hard as a company to hear our requests as demonstrators and offer a variety of styles. Personally, I was more pleased with the sets in the Holiday Mini and a little diappointed in many of the new sets but there were a few that I liked. Only 1 that I really loved! But I am always optimistic and realize that many people like a variety of different things, I just know that there are not many that my customers will like as I have already shown the catalog to a few and they didn't see much that they really liked. Who knows, after I see all of the great samples, I will probably chage my mind about a few of them. Love to hear other people's input as you receive your Mini Catalog soon and wanted to give a word of thanks to SU for listening to requests. That is why we need to continue to offer input when we have ideas and requests because I think that SU really tries to please us whenever possible.
waHOOOO! I am so excited about the gingham, I second the notion that we should get gingham paper, or how about a gingham background stamp? I would love that you could have it in any color!
I love the roller guide, I think I don't wheel because I can't line it up straight.
The sets sound wonderful, I can't wait to see them.
Is there a hat set in the mini? I have just met my minimum right there. Red Hat Society members just buy up that stuff! Can't wait to pre-order and make up some samples! I'm in Florida and I haven't seen the new mini catty either! They must go west to east or something. Can't wait!
I got my mini on Friday and I just love it. It is one of there best one that they have had in awhile. There is a hat stamp set perfect for Red Hat People. I just love the whole thing and can't wait for the preorder and share them with our customers. Yeah!
Cheryl
Stampintree,
Yes, There is a new hat set (looks to be designed for Red Hat society) and it has a matching jumbo wheel. The wheel matches the hat set, but I think it would be cute for scrapbook pages of little girls playing dress up.
That set is more than "Red Hat" though... the Sweet Potato Queens have adopted that saying about well-behaved women rarely make history... I'm guessing that we will sell a BUNCH of this set to SPQs! Now if we could just get SU to make a stamp of their most favorite saying, "Never wear panties to a party!" lol

This topic was/is in the DEMo only forum and should prob. stay there
just a thought
Why we can all be excited too!! Now I will wait to buy my gingham ribbon till the winter mini comes out. Was just going to order some from another company.
I am so excited about a hat set. I was just about to so to a Stamp store and buy "another brand".......I know that that is bad!!! My M-I-L loves the Red Hat Society, and I was going to make her some cards for Christmas. Now I can make them with my beloved SU stamp instead.
No, this topic should stay in General Discussion so EVERYONE can get soooo excited about the mini. WHy not? Some have already said they are going to wait to order. Woohoo for their demos!
I can't wait to get mine, but in NC us demos are always one of the last to get it. Boo hoo! Thank goodness for spoilers.

Not thread jacking, but what are Sweet Potato Queens?
So, is that how things get sent out - west coast to east coast? I hope my mini is in the mail Monday. Now I have to go and change my order so I'll have some money for pre-ordering sets.
I'm so glad all my busy stuff is over! I've got 6 hostesses to be waiting on me! Thanks for giving me a good reason for December workshops! But, I too sometimes hold off in December so that hostesses can take advantage of Sellabration stuff. Sounds like some good winter stamping!
I appreciate you keeping this thread so I can view it! I would rather buy my ribbon from SU, even though I am not a demo! I really wanted the vintage brads, too, but can't really afford to get them by Nov. 30th, so it helps me out a lot to know I can still get them past then! Thank you thank you thank you! This is actually great for you demos, it just gets us nondemos more excited and builds our anticipation so we will buy buy buy!!
And my demo just told me she has enough customers that we'll all get the mini mailed to us? Oh, my gosh...I am giddy with excitement.
My social club from college had a French theme...Paris in the Spring is great for me to make cards and send to the current members. I'm loving the sound of the new one!
I really like the expanded mini-catalog idea and can see I'm going to go just as spending crazy with this new winter one as I did with the Christmas mini. Lord have mercy, I am wondering if I will ever run out of sets that I simply MUST HAVE!!
. . . I love how there is a phrase set designed to coordinate with the hostess set, and there is a whole page devoted to the four color families while promoting the main catalog!

Ok! I can see this is going to get ugly for me. Just judging by the descriptions(don't have my catty yet), I already want 10 SETS!!! That does not include the ribbon. Heaven Help me. My husband is NOT going to like me! Incase some ladies might of forgotten, SAB is right around the corner. I'm going to wait to make a $50 purchase (more like $100) during SAB and get 1 or 2 more sets free. Yeah!
Where did you see that the gingam ribbon and roller guide are going to be in the New Big Catty? If they are you would think that the paper would be to.
I am in Michigan and have not gotten my winter mini either!! Bummer now I really can't wait. I have a few customers that belong to the Red Hat club. They will be so EXCITED!! I will be showing them ASAP!!
