Please help me decide! I wanted a very elegant mono chromatic card, all Sahara Sand and White.
At first I used white pearl and star dust stickles, but they didn't show up enough. I switched to red, green and purple sparkley stickles. So now that I'm using some color, should I stamp the greeting in Red or white? The white isn't very bold, compared to the white embossed tree, the red definatly shows up, but does it take away from the tree and add too much color?
I've made 115 of these and just need to stamp the greeting. I think I've looked at it too much to make a decesion. I wanted to stay with the mono chromatic scheme and use white, DH and I think the cat like the red better.
My vote is for white but maybe think about embossing it. The card is beautiful. I love the embossed background. I don't have the tools to do that but it sure is stunning

Reason: Forgot to comment on card
I like them both, but I have to say I like the saying in the red better, it just adds a little more festiveness to the card. Let us know which you decided on.
I voted for red but I really like both. My reason for picking red is that the white sentiment (imo) would look better embossed and since you stated you made 115 I would rather skip (more) embossing) as long as it still looks great.
Plus, I agree with a previous poster that the red make the greeting pop (yet doesn't distract from the lovely image).
I voted for the red greeting because it made the card really stand out and emphasised the tree (imho). Beautiful cards and I don't think the red detracts from the elegant style.
Is that your kitty voting for the red? Too cute! I like them both, but I like the white a little better, so I voted to emboss the greeting so it doesn't get 'lost' due to the embossed tree. Maybe post another pic with it embossed in white?
i voted for white, since you wanted an elegant card and I thought it looked more elegant. Both are beautiful though! Either way your family and friends will love it!
I like the red but I voted for white because I think the white seems more elegant and I thought it fit with the overall apeal of the card. The red made it seem like the tree and greeting were competing, though they both look nice.
I think that they both look great, but I'd probably do the greeting in white, but emboss it. I think then it would look really pretty with the embossed tree. But the splash of color from the red does not distract anything from your lovely card.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU EVERYONE!!! I appreciate each and everyone of you that has taken the time to look at my card and post your opinions! Love all of my stamping cyber buddies here at SCS!
Good eye for those that caught the cat in the upper right hand corner of the Red card trying to steal the card.
Well so far it is about 2 to 1 vote for red. Now I'm thinking I wish I hadn't already stamped the insides all in Sahara Sand. I don't know what is wrong with me this year, this is the first time in 5 years of making my Christmas cards I just can't make up my mind! I stamped about 12 or so cards with the sparkles all in pink, purple & tourquiose for some of my girl friends and special people that I know love a certain color, and I will emboss the greeting in white on those. The rest I am going to in red, maybe I'll stamp a red snowflake on the inside to make it more colorful. Someone suggested that I could also do grenn or purple and if I may even do a couple of those just to mix it up as I do have Green Galore and Lovely Lilac both in craft ink. Imostly just neede to know color or no color.
It took me a minute to decide because I like them both. But I decided the red makes the other colors on the tree pop - it accents them not detracts from them. Both are great! 115 - whew you've been busy!!

LOVE the cat! I agree with the red....but maybe embossed. So use a slower drying red ink (Craft) and clear embossing powder would look very nice. I really like this card! SUPER mono look!
I voted for embossed white. With the colors you've chosen, and the look you're going for, the white would keep it classy and elegant. I think the red looks too busy. Either way, it's a gorgeous card!
