Default I got my color caddy-I got my color caddy!

LOVE IT! Just wanted to let you know that after reading all the bad press on the caddy I decided I did not want to buy it, but then I heard more people saying good about it so I went in for the plunge after having a great demo one night. It is great and so neat to have all my pads in one place nice and clean. AHHHH! Just had to tell you all!

I got mine too last week... I thought the same thing, but tried it anyways... I've been using it for a week almost everynight and really like it. I had all my ink pads in a box and this is sooooooo handy!!! I'm very pleased with it too!!! I also like how small it is- I thought it was going to be bulky but it fits right in the corner of my table!!!

I was still wondering about the caddy, does it turn smoothly or is it hard to turn.

Thanks

it doesn't turn "smoothly" meaning when you turn it- it doesn't keeping turning by itself (does that make sense?).... it does weeble wobble a little, but doesn't fall over. HTH?

I love mine too! When it came - I saved the box. I taped the top flaps open - and then it fits right back in completely covering all the stamp pads (the top sticks out a little bit). I can safely take it to workshops this way -and it creates a lot of interest in it. I put all my tools (mono, scissors, EP, eyelets, etc) in the top and everyone can see how great it is to have it all at your fingertips while stamping.

Tracy, that's a great tip about saving the box. I know one of the things that i got the most excited about at my first workshop was seeing all of the pads together. I love all the ideas I get from y'all!! Thanks.

I got my color caddy about 2 months ago and ya'll know what!!!!???!!!!

I'm sitting here stampin' away.... one night last week... I looked up at the cat sitting at the corner of the table... I just sat there looking at the cat.... looked over at the color caddy.... you could say I was just contemplating

And ALL OF A SUDDEN .... BAM it hits me... Like... it totally looks like I could put markers in little slots next to the ink pads!!!!!!!!!! ok, 2 months and I didn't know that?!?!

Got up, ran to the marker drawer... SURE 'NUF! those little slots must be for markers!

I like ran out of the room and told my DH like as if I made some HUGE stinkin' discovery and he was like "Uh that's nice dear" in his monotone voice...

Anyways, I'm sure everyone reading this isn't a dim-wit like me, but yes, you can put markers in next to the pads! :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Markers will fit in some of the slots, but unfortunately only every other one. It would have been nice if it was designed to hold them all.

Wow! After reading this, I'm wondering if we are talking about the same Caddy!

Mine doesn't turn without muscling it around (they weren't meant to free spin, but I would rather not get a sprain trying to turn it either), it certainly won't hold markers. I had to assemble mine and once I put it together, it wouldn't fit back in the box. At first, I couldn't use the handle to carry it-it poped out and the whole thing fell apart. BUT when I tightened it, it put so much pressure on the bottom 2 stamps on each side that the plastic on the ink pads cracked.

Did they change manufacturers already? Or is my caddy just a piecer? I don't feel it is worth the listed price, and I don't show it at my workshops...

I'm glad that you are all happy with yours though. Good for you!

Catie, did you assemble it properly because mine turns just fine and I have never ever had a problem with it. Tonight I had my stamp club over and I had forgotten to bring the stamp pads to the kitchen, so I had to go get them from my stamp room. It carried just fine with no problems, so I am just wondering if you assembled it right. Just a thought.

I just recently got my caddy, and I am glad that I made the plunge. I used to keep all four sets in their appropriate boxes to keep the color families together. It was a pain having to deal with the boxes all of the time. As far as the turning issue; it doesn't turn all that well. I went and bought a cheap lazy susan, and now it works great. Just an idea.

I just received my caddy today...and I love it...so far. As a demo, I was a little concerned with the price, since it was difficult to promo or sell at workshops. I finally took the plunge after having a good workshop and I treated myself. I love the fact that the pads are all in one place and very close together, meaning they take up less space than when I had all 4 boxes side-by-side on a shelf. No, it doesnt "free-spin", but spins enough for me to get the colors I soon quickly. I love the box idea, and would be great for transferring the entire caddy to workshops. I only wish the upper tray was large enough to hold my vanilla, white and basic brown craft pads as well. But I love the idea of holding mono, scissors, versamark, etc.

I am "SOLD" on this product and now will make it much easier for me to promo it at my workshops.

I love my caddy! However, I just noticed a few days ago that there was something stuck to the bottom. It was a ready to peel and stick adhesive that you are suppossed to put on the bootom of the caddy, I guess to keep it in place while you turn the caddy. Well, I felt silly that static cling had deld it there and I didn't even know it.

Anyway, I peeled it and stuck it to the bottom and I love, love, love my caddy!

I love the color caddy. Compared to other similiar products, the price is really good! I have no qualms about recommending this product. I think it's great!!!
