I was in my local M's today which unfortunately isn't the new prototype, but I ran into someone I know who works there. She had the Thanksgiving Day (yes the day of Thanksgiving they will be open from 6-9pm) ad. She folded it up and handed it to me. Here is the damage-
All Cricut carts will be only $29.99!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is freaking amazing!
The Cricut Create, the inbetween the regular Cricut and Expression will only be $149!!! That is 50% off. They are usually $299.
The Cricut Juke Box will be only $49.99 down from $99.99
All Storage cubes are 40% off- not bad if you want to buy a bunch in one day with no coupons.
Thanks for the heads up! They are on sale this week for 44.99, but I would much rather pay 29.99. My Christmas present this year is a Cricut, and of course I need some cartridges. The Cricut is already here courtesy of a great deal on E-bay(brand new in box but with no cartridge), so I guess I better plan on a little Thanksgiving Day shopping! LOL! The downside is that I can't play with my new toys until Christmas. I have to wrap them and wait patiently! Thanks again for the info!

I would LOVE to get some cart's for that price, but don't think I'd be able to get there on Thanksgiving, I'll have to see. Great price on the create, but I already have the other two bugs :-)
I believe the confusion was because you stated black FRIDAY. People understand that Mikes is open on Thanksgiving night, but they are asking if the ad is good for that night or if the sales start on black FRIDAY.

My mom and I were just talking about this and wondering what deals there would be. We just might have to head over there while DH and Pops watch (sleep through) football. TFS

I played that game last year and wrapped up empty boxes and no one was the wiser that I had been playing with my new "presents" for over a month!

Seriously, last year when I went in for something else I saw a woman with one in her cart and I asked her how many there were, I think it was THREE (3).
This news is being passed around by someone else on another site also. I don't know if I want to believe some of it. It sounds to good to be true. I'd need to wait to see if for myself.
IF it is true, I would bet the stores will have a very limited supply of the items in question.
I hope for those of you that want these items that it is true.
Hey girls! I worked at Mike's and they always do the turkey bucks which is fabulous!! It is an additional x amount off certain $ amounts (ex: $10 off purchases $50, $20 off purchases $75 etc.). These can be combined with the specials which makes it SWEETER!!! WOOHOO!!! Have fun girls! I'll see you there!

You are so right Patti. When I worked there, we had the new cricuts for a ridiculous price, then combined with the extra $ off it was such a steal. Problem was we only had 15 for the store. Since there was no limit, a customer bought 3 for Xmas gifts. It all depends on the inventory (like many stores during this time of year). The M's I worked at and still shop at is one of the top 5 national stores in sales which is absolutely insane this time of year. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

That's the problem is that the stores have the right to limit quantitites no only to customers but to the stores themselves- am I making sense.
When DH first decided two years ago that he wanted to go shopping on BF he couldn't believe the people and found it even more funny when we went into Office Max for computer monitors only to find out that there we 4 TOTAL and we got 2 of them.
I am SO leary about going because you just don't know.

Oh, its true. I can scan you the flyer that will go out in the news paper. I have the actual thing on my desk.
And to answer another post about the Expression- there is nothing in the ad about it. Just the Create for $149

No matter the price--even if the whole store is free I will not be there. My husband works retail and we cherish our family time and I strongly believe that all employees should get to spend holidays with their families. Sorry, I don't mean to be against the deals I just know that the retail chains don't compensate their employees well, and then to expect them to work holidays too just drives me bonkers.
Would it work if I purchased the cartridges and Cricut earlier that week and then returned the items and immediately rebought them during the sale hours? Of course I would have my receipt. I admit that this is cheating and I feel bad even posting the idea.
mztamela......I wouldn't feel sorry for those employees working on the holiday. I'm sure they are going to enjoy the Overtime/Holiday pay they will be receiving.
bound4london.....Management may not get the Overtime/Holiday pay, but the clerks/cashiers do! Management can take Comp time another day.
