Default Projects Using Beads?

Can you all help me with ideas for projects using beads. For my November Upline meeting I "volunteered" to show projects using beads. I only have the Regals SU beads right now but hope to get my Micro beads in time for the meeting. HELP!!

If you go to the gallery and do a search on "beaded," 28 pages come up. Hope that helps. Linda

decorate pens - See samples here

cover entire card fronts with clear beads for a frosted effect - great for Christmas cards

cover parts of a design for a watery or reflected effect

create a frame with strips of tape and beads

edge microscope slides

create faux stained glass using acetate

add to last layer of hot UTEE when creating pins or tiles

create a mosaic with shrink plastic and use micro beads as grout

use with a thin coating of Diamond glaze (wait until dry before removing excess beads) - and the reason for a thin coating? - you don't want the beads to sink into the Diamond Glaze and lose it's identity unless that's the look you want of course

use with punches

cover glass votives with the tape and just add colored glass micro beads

oh, and you can use the beads loose in shaker cards and pins
Try combining Micro Marbles and embossing powder by sprinkling the adhesive shape with just a few marbles and filling in the gaps with embossing powder and heat.

One of the Workshop WOWS at the Columbus Regionals
was window cards with beads and sticky strip - very cute and easy. I posted the cards under Regional in the gallery

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

We did them at the Erie Area SCS meeting. I was surprised that we used a whole package of beads on 9 cards.

OK, I just posted my bead card. I do not know how long it stays pending, but should show up sooner or later! This is also the first time I posted a link to a photo, so hope that works out too!

Default bead ideas

I just stamped on wooden circles that are about 1 1/2 used staz on and stamped the santa face from yuletide montage. Not yet dry but I used the clear tiny tranparent beads on top.
Will take a pic in the morning when it is dry and upload it in the gallery, I also made an ornament with 3 circles, and adhered together then strung beads on a wire for the hanger it is in the gift gallery if you want to see it. The pics are not the greatest but I was trying to hold the camera and hold the ornament at the same time! smile

Default Beads

Hi,

I also got the regals beads and am planning on using them to make wine charms at my Stamp Club meeting next month. I was going to stamp on Poly Shrink paper, punch the hole and shrink it. I already purchased the "Beverage ID Hooks" at Wal-Mart (they are 12 for less than $1). I figured I can put beads on each side of the charm before closing the hooks.

Good luck, some of the ideas I read before I posted were great . . . I'm looking forward to trying them out !!!

Take care,
Myra

I saw a neat card that had beads stuck to the sticky strip and then a layer of cryatal effects over the top. It looked great.
