Default "spider treats" for Christmas?

The infamous perppermint patty spiders have been such a hit for Halloween. What are you making for Christmas? Would love to put together a few boxes to mail to the nephews.....they went wild for the spiders! Thanks for all of your inspiration!

How about making the scallops white, and add a little top hat, so you have a snowman face.

The hat could be the tag punch and the word window punch.

Okay....here's what I came up with. Maybe someone can make them better, but I tried...LOL

I used my SU scallop punch for the snowman. 1 1/4" Square punch and Word Window punch for the hat. 1/4" circle punch for the eyes and mouth, and my Horizontal slot punch for the carrot nose.

Check out this santa made from punches. What a great idea! I wish I was this creative. I was going to try and make this one next, but I thought I would share the link here.

He is cute...there is also another punch santa out there whose beard and hair are made with the flower trio punch, I think he is soooo cute! This one is on a card but it's the same idea (was the first one I ran into in my search).

Well, I decided to take out my punches and play around with them some more and this is what I came up with.

The santa and the angel are not my original ideas. I made the rest of them, but I have to say my reindeer looks more like a teddy bear....LOL I'm going to have to work on that one again- maybe someone has a better idea for it?

I thought my grinch and elf came out pretty neat. I used all SU punches except for the tree; I used 1 1/4" and 1 1/2 square scalloped punches that are not from SU.

You could adapt your spiders for Christmas. I love Christmas stories and there is a legend about a christmas spider. You could include it with your spiders as a gift. Here is a link to the story.

What a sweet story! I love it....probably more than most since we still use tinsel on our tree.

I've thought about doing the snowman - never thought of the tag punch for the top part of hat - good idea!

I've also thought about trying to do a reindeer with maybe the photo corner punches coming out the top of the head and different angles.

I also want to try making a turkey with the small oval. Maybe next weekend when I'm having a craft weekend with my friends at my house.

I tried using the tag punch for my Santa's hat, but my 1/2" circle for the ball wasn't big enough to cover the end. Does that make since?

tjdstampsalot -

Thanks! I did it a couple of years ago and never regret it! It's so nice to have a big place to work and I'm able to have 4 or 5 friends come over and set up other tables.

They usually come over Friday and don't leave til Sunday!
