I know this is going to sound like a funny question, but I don't care, I want to know
On the big dragonfly in the Cute as a Bug set there is a slit on one of it's wings. I never noticed until I complained to my demostrator (my sister) that it is shown that way in the picture in the catalog. WHY????????? Why did they do that? It drives me nutty, I also have to try to color the spot in. I also noticed in the gallery that not everybody's has that little slit. Could somebody explain this to me.
If you don't know, you could just come up with a really good theory then maybe it wouldn't bother me so much!
Do you mean the little gap in the outline of his/her wing? I looked at that as a form of artistic license.
If there is more to it, please let me know. Mine doesn't have any more of a gap than that pictures on p 148 of the catty. Did you 2 perhaps get a "bad" dragonfly?

I really hadn't noticed it before, so although it didn't bother me, I'll at least be aware of the issue if any of my customers bring it up!
All my best,
Nancy

That's good that it didn't bother you, I don't know what my problem is. I will eventaully get over it, but I'm still in the glaring at the big dragonfly stamp phase...It'll pass...I'm just a little nutty! I am sitting here singing the Nut Song. Everybody knows the Nut song. It was written for me!

I'm a little n-u-t
Just as cute as i can be
I can sing and I can dance
I wear ruffles on my pants
We also cluck after I"m a nut (clucking by sticking your tongue on the roof of your mouth, not clucking like a chicken), but again, I've been told I'm the only one that does that!
KatyLynn, you're not the only one who clucks! I'm going to camp with a bunch of wild-eyed, wooley girls next week and they all cluck through that song! It's half the fun of singing it!
My goodness! That "slit" is teeny, tiny....at least on my dragonfly....I have stamped, colored, and used it on that cutie a lot and never noticed it. I vote for the artistic license...gives the little guy some character.
Ya know what I like about this site? I'll tell ya... the thread starts out as a stamp question and the next thing ya know everyone's singing a nutty song. How fun!!! Stampers are the best people.
The slit is not teeny tiny on my dragonfly...it is HUGE!!!! Okay, maybe not huge exactly, but bigger then I like it... I suppose artistic license will do, but it doesn't stop me from pouting a little now and then.... I had almost forgotten about it and simply have been singing the nutty song (and clucking of course), but SOMEBODY had to remind me! Just kidding Maybe I got a defunct stamp.....that's a fun word, defunct..... if it is a word? Okay, back to singing the nutty song pretending like there is no slit in my dragonfly!
