On Saturday, I stamped with several of my stamping friends. We stamped all day and had a great time. I was not too motivated to use the stamp sets I brought, so I asked the person nearest me to pick out a stamp set of hers (one I didn't have) and I'd make a card with it. We all ended up going in a big circle and giving (no - loaning) a stamp set to the person next to us. They had to make a card with it. It was a lot of fun.
What are some things you do when you stamp together with your friends?

I scrapbooked today with a friend. I did one page and then just wasn't motivated to do anymore. She has some great black and white pics of her and her son so I scrapped those for her.
Shirley and I have been stamping together quite a bit for the last couple of months. She brings dinner (or lunch) and we work LONG hours... sometimes as long as 16 hours. We watch tv or a DVD. And we laugh... A LOT!! My daughter says she is going to start charging Shirley rent! lol

We have the most awesome get togethers at my friend Lisa's house. It's usually a weekend affair and there's anywhere from 4-6 of us. We all bring food, our own cardstock and extra inkpads.
We each bring sets that the others may not have and when we make our cards we make enough for everyone at the table. By the end of the weekend we each have 50-60 different cards to take home.
These get togethers mean much more to me than just getting together to stamp. These friends have truely become my "sisters" in stamping.
Well I get together with 2-5 ladies and we take turns hosting it. They are all teachers so we can only do it about once every 2-3 weeks (once a week durning holidays).
Whoever is hosting at the time is the one who provides the "beverage"
mudslides, strawberry daqueries, wine are all the special things we do. We call it our "shots, scrap, & stamp" meeting. All in good fun though. No one goes home tipsy and we all live within walking distance of each other anyway. It is so much fun and everyone should try it. Have fun
when I stamp with my friend, we stamp, get up and stop a fight between the kids, stamp some more, get up to change a poopy diaper, stamp some more, stop to make lunch for kids, stamp some more, get
up to........
yaddah, yaddah, yaddah!

   That sounds just like me! And the same when I'm typing on SCS. TYpe a few letters, press the ESC button to release what my 17 mo. old has managed to do by pressing a few random buttons. Then up to find some new toys, back to typing, off to the bathroom, back to typing, etc....about 8-10 minutes per post!!!!
Now, I didn't mean to hijack this thread..... :P
Seriously, though...when my friends and I get together, I make it a potluck and we sit around our ping-pong table. Other tables are set up around for our bins of stuff. We share inks, stamps, paper...whatever is needed to help someone get their projects done! Oh and lots of gabbing too! And coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last time I stamped with my girlfriends, we sorta did this too... We all stamped cards (sharing stamps, inks, whatever) and tried to make 'extras'. For every 'extra' we placed on the table, we got to pull one out at the end of the day. It was TONS of fun! You end up with beautiful cards that you would have never stamped yourself. And, everyone gets to "ooh" and "aah" every one else's cards :P
Ok. I have to say that this title had me wondering what JanTink is going to post about it later.
I have a lot of fun stamping with friends but don't do it often enough. :(
Once in awhile my friend Ellen and I stamp together. We have a good artistic vibe together. She will point out little improvements to my cards and vice versa. Time flies when you are stamping with a friend!

My friend and I get a little punchy sometimes when stamping. Its worse when one of us cant get motivated to stamp. Then its challenge time. We choose 2 stamps, some paper and maybe an ink. The non-motivated person has to create a card with the supplies given. Of course, this wouldnt be so difficult if we would choose nice coordinating supplies. Sometimes, its a matter of trying to stump the other person even further. It makes us laugh. You should see some of the ugliness we have created from our challenges.
Ten of us get together once a month for a potluck, good ol' girl talk and stampin. We have homework each month so everyones creation is a surprise. We started out 4 years ago as strangers and now we are a true family. Also, each potluck has a theme---Breakfast night was THE BEST!!!!
ohmygosh! The last time my 2 friends & I got together to stamp, we stamped for 10 hours and only made 5 cards each! It was more like stamp a little, talk a lot, stamp a little eat a lot, stamp a little, laugh a lot, stamp a little, eat some pie! and so on and so on . . . . It was great!! Have to do that again!

My friends and I try to get together once a month to stamp or work on whatever craft we have...we call them "Crafternoons" and chocolate is a huge part of it...
I have a friend who is a SU demonstrator(i am not) and we spend one 8 hour day stamping at her house at least every two weeeks. We have a great time and make something for dinner usually.I wish she could come over my house, although I have a small town home and house of animals. What I am saying is, I want to spend more time at my house stamping but I like to spend time stamping with her as well. Pluss, I have to drag all my stuff to her house when we stamp and I don't get to see my b-friend at all because he's at our house....any ideas?

Several of my friends get together and bring sets that we have not used a lot or are unsure of exactly what to do with that set. Everyone has different ideas and the sharing is fun. Ones unfavorite sets are someone elses favorites so you get inspired seeing their creations.
We take turns hosting and one of us makes a make and take for everybody. Wednesday we are getting together, my turn for the make and take. I told them I would bring a waterfall card. Now I just have to figure out what's going to FALL.
Every month my demo has a 6-midnight and a 6:30 to 9:30 at a local coffee shop. We get together (anywhere from 2-9 gals) make our projects, share advice and stamps as someone needs them. This past month the Demo even had a technique to share.
Another friend of mine goes to a quarterly craft day, this lady we know has a few ladies over, fixes lunch, and they all work on what they need to.
We also have ladies project night where we all bring something to work on and if someone needs something we have stamps to make cards for a local non-profil kids center.

Lake Grandma and Catie.......we too gossip and talk WAY more than we stamp. About two weeks ago one of the ladies made one card the entire night. One! Yeah.....pretty sad.
One of my customers rents a cabin with her sisters & a few friends for A WHOLE WEEK to scrapbook. Can you even imagine??? Now these ladies all have grown children which makes it possible for her & not for me to do something like this. She said she even has 2 sisters who don't scrap, but take their sewing crafts & go along, because they'd hate to miss out on all the gossip & fun!! They get so much accomplished besides all the visiting & fun. I just think this would be so great to do sometime.
I think I'd be thrilled with just 1/2 a week of stamping & scrapping, instead of the bits & pieces I usually get now.
