I just love these! I was thinking about making them for my son's preschool class and I really like the idea of using Peanut Butter Cups instead of the Peppermint Patties (just a note here: to be careful some children are allergic to peanuts).
What punch did they use for the legs? I dont have one of those

Quite a few people have asked about the mummy so here goes...

Punch 3 scallop circles out of white cardstock. Take a sponge and ink it up with a brown or gray color ink. I used SU! Chocolate Chip classic ink since that's what I had. Swipe sponge around edges of scallop circle to give it that nice "aged" look.

Take the second scallop circle and cut it up with paper snips. I cut the longest strip out of the middle, and then some smaller half strips out of the two halves I had remaining. Take sponge and ink and swipe all the edges so your strips look like aged mummy wraps. Adhere the smaller wraps first so the ends can tuck under the longest piece. Punch out 1/4" circles to layer with the googlie eyes and add the third scallop circle to the back to make a "sandwich" with your candy in the middle.

I don't own a word window punch, but if you have one that would probably be work as well (if not better!). I also don't own all the SU! inks yet, but I imagine you could make a lighter/softer looking mummy using Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, or Going Gray inks.

Ta da! Halloween treats with limited supplies and budget! The only true requirement is a scallop circle punch, everything else can be done with substitutions based on the inks and cardstock colors you have on hand. Liberal use of scissors and googlie eyes recommended!

Default No Scallop Punch?

Just a thought....if you don't have a scallop punch (like me) you can also use the Mini Monograms Cricut Cartridge (if you have a Cricut of course!)....There's a scallop circle (and a square) on the cart and you can even play with the size! Just a thought.... :p

Here is my version of the spider:
Punch Spider by CheeseHeadInCA at Splitcoaststampers

I love making things with punches so was so excited when I saw it as a bonus project last night at my stamp club.

I agree with the others that SNAIL is not strong enough. I even added an additional oval to the back and my legs still moved. Some people at the stamp club didn't put as many legs on but since I have a 4 year old (the lucky receipient of the spider (and the candy behind it which is not shown in the picture) I wanted it to be anatomically correct

I made these for the teachers at my school for just something cute to sit on their desks rather than a treat to eat. I think they will look adorable peeking out of everyone's mailbox on Halloween. Had some heavy poker chips and glued two of them together and adhered the pieces of the faces and body with white craft glue.

That's a cute way to use them too. I like the idea of the poker chips. My weekly card group is going to get together Thursday night and we are going to help the teacher in the group put some together for her students as well as make some for ourselves. My son is in 5th grade so I will make some for him to give to his class also.

These are so cute. I have a question... the photo corner punch, are you only using one 'size' of the punch for the legs? I see from the photos that the contrasting color leaves the black cs on the edges. THANKS.

sorry for the lack of reply to your question...

my walmart still has the duck brand tape runners and double sided tape.

sorry i don't have another resource for you.

The SU photo corner punch has the two sizes for layering and the legs are layered. Punch out a bunch in both black and another color and then put layer the two sizes together. You should end up with a mix of large black and small color and vice versa.
