inside card sentiments are usually computer generated.
Some stamps are just too simploe of a sayings for me.
I have a lot of sentiments for different occasions saved

I use the computer for sentiments, but have never used it for anything else but words. Being able to change font (as mentioned there are tons of free fonts out there) to match the card or personality of the recipient is great. The one downside I can think of is that I think I waste some card stock sometimes, since you can't really print on small pieces of stock or shapes that have already been cut out... for instance if you want to make a heart shaped cut-out, you have to print it and then cut it out - then you have to make sure what is left will go back through the printer, etc. - sometimes that is a pain. It always comes out straight, which is another plus for me!
I do occasionally use it for inside sentiments, but not often. I do sometimes make background paper with it. Here's a card using one I did quite awhile ago. I printed it out on SU's shimmery white cardstock...can't see it too clearly though..
I'm a computer nerd and did cards on the computer before I started stamping. I still use the computer for insides and also quotes or verses for the outside. It is also great for making monograms with whatever letter in whatever font (the poor man's justrite stamper!); you can even print out names to really personalize some stationary.
The only complaint I have is my printer does not print straight! Grrr! We have tried everything, but it always comes out off. Now I put a light gray rectangle around any sentiment I want to cut out, so when I cut on the lines the text will be straight.
For those of you that want to venture into using it, here is a tutorial sheet I use for word workshops that I teach (some veterans may find some useful stuff, too-like F4!).
I don't think I've ever used an image from the computer, but sometimes I will type off a sentiment when I don't have the stamp for a particular saying.

I was going to say the same thing. Or like poems and stuff for the inside of cards.
Oh and one time I took a coloring book image and used it for cards though. A friend of mine wanted Backyardigans and there was no stamp so I used the image from the coloring pages.
I too have only used my printer for sentiments. I wouldn't be opposed to using it for images, but I have too many stamps that need to be inked up so I use stamps exclusively for my images
I print lots of my own stuff - images, sentiments and inserts.
For inserts & sentiments I feed my card base straight into my computer and print straight onto it. For loose-leaf inserts, just print onto my paper and cut it out. Or for layered sentiments, I just print onto card stock and punch them out. I can be so much more creative doing it this way. I hate not being able to find the sentiment I want, in a font I love, as a stamp. So I just do it myself.
Digital images and papers are HUGE in the UK. You have to be careful to get a high resolution image though or the printed results are really not worth using.

I use my computer all the time for my cards. I use it for images, sentiments and I also create my own patterned paper for my cards. I love simple cards, so it is very easy that I can create my own dotted paper in any color that I want. I am not very good with design paper, so this is a good solution for me!
Someone before said that fonts have their own character and it is how I think about it. I love being able to choose a font that really matches the character of the card.

I always print my images from the computer but not all the time and when I do I print them on glossy photo paper and same with the sentiments I also print them on glossy photo paper. I have also designed my own background paper in paint shop pro.
i use it for the inside of the card. I am just now starting my collection of stamps so i don't have any sentiments.
As for the images i sometimes find them on the computer and print on card stock and then color, somethimes there is a problem with smearing. I also have the cricut and i take out the blade in put in the marker and that works out really good. The markers are acid free and waterproof.
I print out sentiments for a few cards.
But i emboss the printed image.

You must work quickly, because the ink isn�t wet enough for a long time, but the sentiments looks very good with stardust embossing powder!
I never do, but that's mostly because I don't really enjoy using the computers for paper crafts. I spend enough time on the computer during the day, I like enjoying a break from it at night when I'm stamping and would rather do everything by hand. It's just more fun this way for me. If I don't have a sentiment stamp, I'll either use our small alphabets to stamp it (if it's short) or my own handwriting. I'm not saying I would not turn to the computer if I had a real need for it, but it just feels like "work" instead of play when I have the fiddle with digital elements.
