Default I'm not quite sure about this....

This card has been prepped and I am ready to start assembling them (I have to make 24). However, it has not gotten very many views so I am thinking it is not as cute as I thought. My scanner does a very poor job, the colors are really much nicer in real life and they seem to look good together, just not in the pic!
Any thoughts?

I really like it, the colors are beautiful! My only thought is that there are a lot of circles, and so you're losing a clear focal point. I'd leave the bird off and maybe use a solid ribbon instead. My .02! I think it's a great card!

I agree with her. The blue is distracting from the other colors. And for the ribbon maybe try using a ribbon color from one of the leaf colors.

I think everyone is right about the bird -- or make it a red bird with a black circle behind it -- to bring in the black ribbon??? It is an adorable card though. Love the idea! ;)

Thanks for the reply's. The ribbon is dark brown, it is a little darker than the tree though. I thought about moving the bird to the center of the tree and moving the knot over to the lower right. I may have to leave the little blue bird of happiness off rather than re-do it in another color (they are all done). I love getting input for everyone, thanks~

I like your card, too! Don't ever assume that few views means it isn't good ~ there are just so many cards being uploaded these days ;)!

I think if I were you I would stamp the bird in red, pumpkin or one of the yellows, trim it out and perch it in the tree.

A wider ribbon might work better ~ if you have more mustard, pumpkin pie, or chocolate chip grosgrain that might help. And I'd put it around the green layer also.

You could consider a small sentiment in the lower right-hand corner.

Hope that helps ~ it's a lovely card and your color choices are perfect for Fall!

What about a small touch of stickles or glitter on the leaves? Just to give it that touch of sparkle.

I changed the ribbon, this is all I had and moved the little bird. I don't know why I love the little bird in blue. If it will ruin the card I will just have to find another use for the 24 birds I have stamped and mounted. Do either of these placements work any better?

I like it! I like the wider green ribbon and leave off the bird. I would probably add a sentiment on there. I guess I just don't get the bird and it adds another color which isn't introduced anywhere else.

I like the wider ribbon. Have you considered stamping the bird directly onto a branch? I would emboss it - that way the branch won't show through as it would if you just stamped it with ink. I'd like the bird in brown, or copper or gold ~ but it would even look nice that way done in blue!!

If you go with either of your latest designs, I like the one with the bird in the center of the tree better than at the top.

I like the wider ribbon and agree with other poster about stamping bird on branch and not in circle. Too many circles. Love the colors.

The circle concept is nice, however I'm not sure about the tone-on-tone look. If you want to keep the circles, why not stamp on white circles, similar to this card. As for the bird, it might stand out more if you stamped it a darker shade of blue, cut it out and popped it up on a background circle using a dimensional.

Just some thoughts.

The bird stamped directly on the branch is a great idea, maybe in an earthier blue.

I'm sorry, but I just don't think there's any salvaging all the birds you already punched out. They clash with the rest of the card. Save those for another card.

I do love the leaves, though! The card is very cute.

I like it. If you really want to use the bird put in on the inside of the card. I like to embellish the inside of my cards as well as the outside.

I think your circles would look great spaced like the ones on the card that stampin happy showed us. After I look at your pretty leaves my eye is drawn to the center and there is not a focal point there. When they're spaced the other way that doesn't happen. I like the colors you've chosen with the tone on tone. (I like it both ways actually.) Maybe a little sentiment at the bottom too. Great card.

Sorry - but I agree that the bird does not work. The blue color for me is what makes it not work. Other than that - super cute!!

It's my fall card for friends and family. Everything is good to go, stamped, punched, cb etc, I just need to tweak it.

Just my opinion, but I think you should stagger the circles. Then they're not all in a neat little half-circle. Nature is not that neat.

I like everything but the bird. Seems out of place. You have fall colors, and then this light colored thing. If you feel that you need the bird, can you do it in a darker color?

Perhaps the birds could be saved for your Spring cards? They are cute little birdies, but I agree that they are kinda distracting. Cute card idea. I like the circles in a semi circle instead of staggered...it is kind of whimsical. Just my .o2.

I agree.....save the bird for another project. It's too distracting. I like the wider green ribbon, but would actually suggest maybe a solid grosgrain type to kept the "weight" of the card balanced. I like the idea of a sentiment as well in the bottom right corner.
