for some reason I can't think of any others and I did an abc scrapbook for the grandma's and used catching some zzs for the letter z but I guess Zebra would work I don't know
Susan
I just did an alphabet book for my Grandson using LOTS of pictures of him and things in his house. Example: Door was his front door, Car was his parents car, Bib was his bib, etc. And all the people can be added for more letters - UNCLE Peter, AUNT Sarah, etc. Don't forget to add those. But my favorites were:
I - Jonathan IN the basket (picture of him in a large laundry basket)
O - Jonathan ON the bear (picture of him on the Bear footstool we have)
U- Jonathan UPSIDE DOWN (and I took a picture of him being held upside down Also, did UNDER THE TABLE
V - vacuum
and don't forget Z - zipper! I put a real zipper in the book
And the numbers:
O - one
T - two and ten
F - four and five
S- six and seven
E - eight
N - nine
You may wonder why I left out THREE. Being a school teacher, Three is a BLEND. The TH sound is not a true T sound, just like WH is not a true W sound and SH, etc. In teaching letter sounds, it's important to start with the true sounds, not the blends. (I'll make a number book when he is older.)
Oh, and parts of the body:
L- legs- (picture of his legs)
A- arms - (him being held in mommy's arms)
H- his hands in his mommy's hands
T-his Toes, his Teeth
E- his Eyes and Ears
If you need more ideas, for the letters, I had anywhere from 3 - 12 pictures per page (some photos, some stamped and some stickers) and then wrote words around the edges of the page for more words. My grandson is only 14 months old and he LOVES looking at it. It will "grow" with him. Now he just likes the pictures but he will learn the letters first, then the simple words and then the bigger words around the edges.
A couple of years ago I did an ABC Album to the song
"A You're Adorable"
Its a little different than your typical ABC album, but the grandparents LOVED it and its the first thing my girls' want to look at when they are visiting their grandparents.
Lyrics
"A," you're adorable, "B," you're so beautiful,
"C," you're a cutie full of charms.
"D," you're a darling and "E," you're exciting
And "F," you're a feather in my arms.
"G," you look good to me, "H," you're so heavenly,
"I," you're the one I idolize.
"J," we're like Jack and Jill, "K," you're so kissable,
"L," is the lovelight in your eyes.
"M," "N," "O," "P," I could go on all day.
"Q," "R," "S," "T," alphabetically speaking, you're OK.
U," made my life complete, "V," means you're very sweet,
Double-"U" "X" "Y" "Zee."
It's fun to wander through the alphabet with you
To tell you what you mean to me.

Disney! I'm going to do a whole ABC album with pics from our recent Disney trip.
You could also do a fun ABC book that is all with foods.
Apple, baked potato, cotton candy, deviled eggs, eggplant, fish sticks, green beans, hot dogs, ice cream, jalapeno, kabobs, etc. I don't know any x foods off the top of my head, but I'm sure they're out there somewhere. ; )
