Default Is anyone still feeling the need to trim their die cut SU stamps?

Or is that just me? On many of them the "edges" that they've left just seem too big, and I don't like kiss marks.

Anyone else trimming the no need to trim stamps?

Erin

I didn't, but I wish I had. I'm going to have to microwave one of them, because everytime I use it, I catch the edge of the stamp. So annoying!

not me. i've been perfectly happy with the die-cutting... but, i haven't stamped much with my new, so i guess that could change if i determine the edges pick up too much unwanted ink.

Yes I still trim most of them. I hate to get that outline from the edge of the rubber!

Every once and a while I have a stamp that wasn't quite cut in the center, so I get a longer edge, and I do trim it then, but just the certain areas. Other than that, I am very pleased to not have to trim!

Yup, I still have to trim. I'm a hard stamper and am ALWAYS catching the edge if it's not trimmed close enough.

I have to say that for the most part I have been very happy with the way mine are cut. I have trimmed a couple a bit closer but as I said for the most part I am very happy.
Blessings.

I still trim mine too, only first I take them off the foam-(bare rubber) then trim, and attach to ez mount.

I am afraid their die cutting needs some improvement! I like a *close* trim. Yes, I trim most of them.

Just 10 seconds in the microwave softens the glue, in order to remove the stamp from the wood.

I had that happen only a couple of times. I just trimmed off the offending little edge of rubber that had ink on it. That way I don't have to microwave and remount the whole stamp.

I haven't ordered from the new catty yet, but I didn't have to trim any of my sellabration sets last year. My demo told me she's had to trim some of hers, however.

I haven't had to trim them yet thankfully. I did think the die cutting wasn't as close as it should be though, but I haven't had any problems with them.

There have been a couple that have been trimmed to my satisfaction. But also a couple that I have felt the need to trim just a little closer. And because there isn't much to trim, it makes it more difficult to get a good cut.

I trim 75% of stamps I purchase, no matter what company they're from, mounted or unmounted. I like mine edgeless to keep stray ink away.

I wish I had. Many of them leave an edge for me as well and I have been going after that little bit, but it would have been easier to do at first.

No, I haven't trimmed a single one of my die cut stamps. Just peel off the backing and slap that rubber onto the wood!

I've noticed that curves seem to need trimming the most. I am VERY picky, lol, and like my rubber very closely trimmed. Still, even though I find myself trimming a bit, mounting is still a much speedier process than it used to be. And my vacuum is much happier not picking up the inevitable stray pieces of rubber that used to litter the house...

Yep, I still find a need to trim. I like mine really close so I don't get those stray bits of ink.

I am still trimming mine. If I don't I get that mark and I hate that. So yes! I am trimming the die cut stamps. But is seems to go faster then when they were not die cut!

The first set I did not trim . . . and ended up with ink on the card from the "edge." Now I close-trim everything just to make sure. Really it was easier to get a close trim before they started die cutting.
