Todays World Cardmaking Day Featured Stamper is Sherry/sherrylc05!
Sherry and I start stamping on the same exact day, she's my best friend IRL and she is such an inspiration to me for her great attitude and love of life!
Not to mention I am totally jealous of her coloring skills, that girl can color, and without fancy Copics or Pencils, just straight up SU! ink and her aquapainter and she's off!!
Now go to Sherry's gallery and find a card that inspires you and make it your own
Your keyword is WCMDFS08 and to be considered in the drawing for a prize for participating in the challenge, all challenge cards must be uploaded no later than Monday night at 11:00 pm EST.
HOW DO I PLAY: Go to her gallery and CASE a card, following these simple guidelines:
CASEing Guidelines:
1. Change 2 or more things on the card. It could be a color combo, embellishments, backgrounds, or even the main image could be different but similar because you don't own the exact image. List the changes in your description.
2. Put a link to the original card in your description.
Uploading Directions:
1. Keyword: WCMDFS08 2. Details section of your card: Describe the changes you have made, give credit to the featured stamper, and link her card.
3. Upload by Monday 11:00pm EST to be elegible for WCMD prizes from the SCS Member Companies. 4. Link your card here for all to see. 5. HAVE FUN!
The keyword is WCMDIC08 (no spaces). Please be sure to include this keyword in the title of your upload.
**To be considered in the drawing for a prize for participating in the challenge, all challenge cards must be uploaded no later than Monday night at 11:00 pm EST.
Good luck everyone and I can't wait to see your cards!!!
Happy World Cardmaking Day! Are you ready for another challenge?
Doesnt fall always make you think of trees, of warm rich colors and cool fresh breezes? Trees are such wonderful images, inspiring us with strength, hope, renewal and constancy. Think of the imagery we get from trees sheltering us, growing roots, reaching to the sky. Well, if you cant tell, Ive been on a major tree kick this year (going green and all, I guess!). So, my challenge to you is simple. Show me your trees!
Whether its a spring tree ready to bloom, a naked tree in winter, a happy Christmas tree or fall foliage; whether you want to show the tiniest bit of a leaf or a huge forest; make them crazy, make them fun, make them elegant. If you cant find a tree you want to use, dont despair. Were all flexible here so you can also use anything that is related to trees leaves, acorns, even small woodland creatures! Get creative and lets pay tribute to our arboreal friends.
Please add WCMDWT08 in your keyword section and post a link back here so that we can all see your work! Please remember that to be considered in the drawing for a prize, all challenge cards must be uploaded no later than Monday night at 11:00 pm EST! New uploads only please...
Thanks to Taylor for organizing and to all the great member companies for sponsoring our fun!
Enjoy the challenge and have a TREE-mendous day!

Happy World Card Making Day! In honor of this special day, let us make the world a more beautiful place and plant flowers - on our cards! For today's special Technique Lover's Challenge we are going to make a card with hand made nested circle flowers.
I have long admired these type of embellishments in the store, but they can be expensive. Making your own is not only a great way to use scraps and save money, but it is also fun and easy. If you are not sure how to make them, see below for my tutorial.
Nested Flowers Tutorial
Supplies Needed
1. Paper or material for your flowers.
Anything you can cut, punch or die cut; scraps are fine.
Some examples:
patterned paper/cardstock/newspaper/sheet music
ribbon
lace
fabric
tulle
mesh
velvet
felt
2. Five (or more) circles cut with die cuts, punches, or scissors.
I like them hand cut the best - the imperfections and wrinkles look good!
Tip: I punch or die cut 5 of the largest circle with different materials, then hand trim them, making each one smaller and smaller. Size of circle used is up to you - I used a 2.5 inch circle as my largest.
3. A paper piercer or hole punch and brad to attach the circles together.
4. Optional: Paper distresser.
Directions:
1. Cut your circles. Distress them if you wish.
2. Layer the nested circles to make a flower. The largest will go on the bottom, the smallest on top.
3. Starting with the largest bottom circle, use your paper piercer to pierce a hole in the center. Put the next layer on top and paper pierce it; repeat until all layers have a hole in them and attach with brad. I like to attach it very tightly as that causes the layers to bunch up, shaping the flower.
4. Optional: Shape the flower by rolling edges, tearing, folding and wrinkling.
Design Ideas:
Experiment with different shapes - squares, floral - whateva!
Top the brad with a button
Shape them for texture dimension
Distress/fray the edges and sponge them with ink or acrylic paint for a shabby chic look
Hand stitch them for a homey feel.
Fold/gather some of the layers for a rippled look.
Your turn! Let's see your flowers!
Here is my sample card and here is a close up of the nested flower.
