Gatherings

Dumb question #1003...........What happens and what are the details? Do you rent a place or meet at someones house ? Is it to do swaps which is another mystery to me or just a get together to share ideals and stamp together. Or still yet is it a go with the flow type of deal?

I have had several different types of "gathering". One, we each brought a project with all the materials needed prepped and ready to go. Then everyone made one of everyone else's cards or projects to take home.

Sometimes, I just invite people over to work on whatever stamping, scrapbooking or craft projects they'd like to bring.

I've done both of these at my house. I usually provide beverages, plates, silverware and ask everyone to bring something to share for lunch.

This Sunday we are doing a "Stamp Out Breast Cancer Event" we have a church that is letting us use their space. We will be making cards for breast cancer patients in our area. The cards we make will be donated to breast cancer support groups and the women will be able to pick out cards they would like to give to their friends/relatives/etc. My wonderful demo (yeah Sara!) is donating all the cardstock, etc. PLUS donating all of her commission for any sales that day to Breast Cancer causes.

Do you mean the different regional/area "gatherings" for SCS members that are being posted here? We are having one in SoCal - you can see all the details by clicking on the link under my signature. They just had the Northwoods Gathering - there's lots of info about it if you search for those posts. HTH. Let me know if you have specific questions.
