Favorite SU stamp set from Spring-Summer 2008 catty.
I was just thinking that I want to place one more order from the Spring-Summer 2008 catalog before the new catalog comes out, and I was wondering which stamp set from that catalog has been one of your faves and you have used a lot.

I haven't picked up a lot from the new catalog, but I did grab Celebrate Everything. I know it's a word set, but I really like it as much as I do Happy Everything.
A couple other stamp sets I just picked up but haven't really played with are Stitched Exotics and....omgosh what's the name of it? It goes along with the boho blossoms DSP and 3 flower punch. Well it's that one! LOL
It would be "Tart and Tangy". I have made teachers cards with the apple. Margarita cards with the lemon. Its super cute and cheap! The Summer Picnic paper is awesome with it! Look at all the cute cards in the gallery.

Always is my favorite set in the whole catalog.. I really like the Free & The Brave, but for different reasons.. I made many swaps to take to Tulsa with me for a SU regional event.. and recently I got the nicest email from someone I had traded with.

I think it's "One of a Kind."
Count me as another vote for "Always."
And justampin - I'm super jealous Have fun shopping!

I'm really loving Tart and Tangy w/ the Summer Picnic paper, too! I'm actually having a class on w/ this stamp set on Tuesday.
DH just gave me $500.00 to spend anyway I want too without question so I'm subscribing to this thread! Thanks GWB for the money!
Wow, our tax dollars hard at work! Lucky ducky:mrgreen:!
Anyway...
I heard that if it was a new set in this catalog that SU was promising that it would not be retired and would still be available in the fall. {Any demo can set me straight if I heard that wrong.}
With that in mind, looking just at sets that have been in previous catalogs, here are a couple I think are true keepers and sets you shouldn't miss:
-Peaceful Wishes (very versatile and easy to make a great card with, it also can be used for non Christmas winter cards)
-Wild about You (can be used for baby gifts, older children and adults)
-Lovely as a Tree..if you don't have it already (it's bound to retire bc it's been around soo long but it is a "must have" set... probably the most versatile set I own)
- Warm Words (I use these constantly, they go with anything and fit nicely in the oval punches)
-Happy everything (another staple)
**if you like the frog, crab or pick-up, now would be a good time bc I doubt if they make it another round!
From the "new" catty items that might still be around, I LOVE:
-Baroque Motifs (that swirl gives instant WOW! on anything... and the medalions are classic)
-Always (... going to be a classic)
-Embrace Life (lovely watercolored or paper pieced)
-Priceless (again, versatile)
-Fabulous (love that big flower)
-One of a Kind (kinda cool medalions)
-Tart and Tangy (can't beat it for the price!.. but it just might be in the catty bc the colors are not "in colors"... hmmmm....it's a gamble.)
I agree with Lynn - her list of possible retirees is a list of winners. The retirement list should come out in the next couple months, which may help guide you. Enjoy your bonus - your hubby is a keeper!
I really enjoy my Blooming with Love set. I've used it for birthday cards and Mother's Day cards - everything on the feminine side. I bet there's lots of cool things to do with that wheelbarrow, though!
#! Always
#2 Embrace Life
adding #3 that I "wish" I had ordered ... "Tart & Tangy" ;)
I may be wrong, but it seems that I read somewhere on the forum that the ordering time for the mini has been extended to the end of June, so if this is the case, you still have time. Good luck and enjoy!
I use Blooming With Love and Moose you all the time! Those are my favorite by far! I'm also ordering Life's a Breeze soon, I have been wanting that set since I got the new catty!

You are correct, it was extended to June 30th.
I would have to say my fave is artfully asian. I seem to keep pulling that one out lately.

I used To Have and To Hold in a bunch of my wedding items, and it has lots of other uses than weddings. I also love Always, and have found it more versatile than I orginally thought.
