Exclamation Adding a Picture for a Banner

I would like to add a picture that will go at the top of my blog that is a picture that I took with camera. I want the picture to go ALL the way across the top, can someone tell me how to do this.

My blog is with blogger.com

I'm with google, so I will tell you how I did this and hopefull someone else can come in and correct me if it is different for your host

First I edited my image with photo edit software to make it the right shape for my banner.

Then I went into the blog, selected add a photo and dragged the location of the photo to the top of the layout.

I used a selection of images rather than a photo, (you can see on my blog at http://elizabethscraftroom.blogspot.com/) and it seemed to work fine. Good luck.

I use wordpress and they have an area where you can upload and crop a header. Does blogger have anything like that under themes?

Crop your photo to how you want it shown. Go to layout on your blog.
Right underneath your navbar you should have a header, choose edit and upload. Make sure you have it clicked to be instead of title and description or the title of your blog will be on top of you banner (unless you want it to be). ;)

I've been using wordpress for awhile and I want to change my header, I looked around for this (I also want to make a custom header) can you tell me where you found this on wordpress?? I swear I've looked everywhere
