I just found the cutest Christmas baggies in a catalog and thought I'd pass the idea on...
These are all baggy toppers and I was thinking of the SU Christmas sampler set when I saw them...
Reindeer noses (in the baggy--cinnamon candy dots) Stamp a reindeer with a red nose, add to the top, "spare noses"
Don't Eat Yellow Snow (in the baggy--yellow rock candy) Stamp a dog and some snow--need I say more?? Kind of gross, but...
Mistletoes (in the baggy--red gummy candy)
Elf Pillows (or maybe Santa's Pillows): (in the baggy, peppermint candy--it looks like the puffy kind, not the starlight mints)
Of course, there's always Snowman Poop--marshmallows, but I have a hard time looking at marshmallows for awhile afterwards
The catalog had one of each of the four bags (except for the snowman) for sale for $7.99!! What cute stocking stuffers or RAKs for people you work with! I loved the idea--and would love to hear if any of you have any additional suggestions!
Ok so that is way too cute!!! What if you put candy corn in a baggie and labeled it snow man noses??? LOL Or cotton candy and labeled it Santas Beard!!! LOL Geez it is past midnight...don't get me started!! LOL
I don't have the poems in a document anymore, my computer was stolen a few weeks ago. So these are the poems I could find. I will re-post if I come accross anymore. I hope it is o.k. to post them this way.
PUMPKIN KISSES
No ugly witches, scary ghosts,
or creepy crawly little bugs
just a suprise of halloween wishes
with some kisses and a hug.
(I put hershey's kisses and a hug inside)
PUMPKIN POOP
I started to carve a pumpkin with my carving knife and scoop
but the pumpkin got so scared, he took a little poop
it looked so cute and funny, just like a candy treat
so I'm sharing it with you now, because you are so sweet.
(I put candy corn in this one)
RUDOLPH'S SPARE NOSES
Rudolph's nose is very bright, he helps guide santa's sleigh
without it in the dark night sky, they might not find their way.
so just in case dear rudolph's nose is ever on the blink
be sure to have these spare ones, to repair him in a wink!
(I use red m&m's )
ANGEL KISSES
Angel kisses from above
wrapped in gold, and filled with love!
(kisses w/almonds)
I have a few more. Does anyone know how to explain to a not so computer savy stamper how to post a document if I write them all in word?
Amber,
I just moved to Apollo Beach - we're neighbors! E-mail me privately and lets talk! And also, my daughter's name is Amber and she lives in Brandon! Pretty funny! [email protected]
I'm not sure how you would do this with stamps, but I did it one Christmas with felt and it was really cute. Maybe that On the Line set? You make a pair of long johns out of red felt and put a little flap in the back and fill it with candy. Here is the poem that goes with it:
I went to stuff the stockings, but couldn't find a pair
Instead I put the candy in Santa's underwear!
SNOWMAN KISSES
Snowflakes from Heaven as white as can be
to build a snowman for all to see.
He's cute and cuddlly, and full of good wishes
and he wants to give you a few of his kisses
(I just use regular kisses)
SNOWFLAKE SEEDS
So you'll be sure to have some snow
at Christmas time this year,
Santa sends these snowflake seeds
in hope they'll bring good cheer
(I use snowflake confetti)
CHRISTMAS CANDIES
Hold these candies in your hand and turn them, you will see
The M becomes a W, an E and then a 3.
They tell the Christmas story, It's one I'm sure you know,
It took place in a stable, a long, long time ago.
The E is for the East, where the star shone so bright.
The M is for the Manger, where baby Jesus slept that night
The 3 is for the wisemen, bearing gifts, we know they came
The W is for Worship, Hallellujah, praise His name!
So as you eat these candies, or share them with a friend,
remember Christ this Christmas, and that His love will never end
(I use christmas m&ms)
I have only done these with clip art, I would love to see some ideas with stamps
black licorice ( the square ones) could be used for the coal on a snow man...
brown string licorice for the branches we us to build them...
dots for their hats...
braded colored licorice for a scarf...
don't know if any of this workd but ya'll got me thinking....
what is the name of the magazine.I want one.If it isn't a out dated one.Is it a recent one.
And very cute idea for the shaved santa.cotton candy idea.I love it.
I love the poems too need to print these off.
I think we need to make up a list.

Yes, DD and I make one too. We have a little toy train that goes around it, too. I use those chocolate melting pieces as the roof tiles. BTW -what is necco?
I have done the Santa's underwear for many years now. I too made them out of red felt. I could never make enough either. They were some of my best sellers at craft fairs.
