I am new here. I have to figure out how this all works but I wil manage in that. I am Anouk and 35 years old. I live in the Netherlands and I am a true rubber stamp addict I am married to Michel (37) and we have no kids. But we take care of 3 cats. Yuca is a small grey striped girl of 11 years, Daimler is a big fat cream striped Norwegian Forest male cat of 10 years and Nouki is a beautiful, but also fat, black lady of 9 years old. We love to travel to Thailand. We will leave for my fourth time on October 14. I work as a telephone operator for the emergency line (911 in the USA, 112 in Europe) for 24 hours a week.
If you have any questions, please be free to ask me.

:p YES, I have a comfy chair! I know that anything which is rubber stamping or related to that, especially internetgroups and so on are addicting. I am also a moderator of a Dutch Yahoo group for stamping addicts. If I don't have to work I have my pc always turned on, afraid to miss something

God made us with two hands so we could stamp and eat chocolate at the same time!

Well Anouk, after I got your email, I had to look to see what your avatar was! And instead of seeing your smiling face, I see a cat! LOL!!
But, even so, great job on finally getting it to work! ;) I have to get off now! I am in the middle of swapping out ALOT of recipe pages!! Take care my new friend! Hope to hear from you real soon!!

Welcome Anouk! I live in Lynden, Washington. Way over in the farthest Northwest corner of the contiguous U.S. Our little town is populated about 80% with folks who came from Netherlands or whose ancestors did. There is a webcam in Lynden. Here is the address... http://www.lynden.org/webcam.php
Silly me was going to ask why you are up so late! I forget that you are 8 hours ahead of us! So it is about 10:15 in the morning for you, but 2:15 in the middle of the night for me!!
I'm so glad to see everyone giving you such a nice welcome. Such nice ladies, aren't they?

Wish I could! Our weather changes in the last few days have really taken a toll on me. I have reumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, and the pain makes it difficult for me to sleep sometimes, so where else would I be, but here??

Kiitos Carita!!!! It is not huvahuta time for us yet Excuse me for the spell mistakes in the Finnish words I know :-) I have family in Finland and I learned a few words from my nephews many many years ago when I was on holiday there. I was 10 at that time, and that is already 25 years ago, AAARGH! But I never forgot.

No fair Carita! You are planning a stamping get together with Anouk, and don't invite me???? The one who talks with you girls while everyone else over here is sleeping??? I am pouting now! :( Just kidding!!
Actually, as I was telling Anouk, I have family in Holland. I have been to Haarlem, Leiden, Uden(? I think that's right), Amsterdam, and Zaanford. It is a beautiful country. My sons and I plan to go again next year, and I can hardly wait!!!

It was not 25 years since the last time I have visited Finland. But it has been some time ago. My husband still has to see it with his own eyes how beautiful Scandinavia is. He thinks it is only cold and rainy and says he can visit these countries also when he is 50 or so *LOL* Of course I disagree with him. I know the beauty of Finland. But if he doesn't want I have not much to say I still prefer to travel together. We will leave for Thailand on October 14.
Well it seems that it is me who has to organize a stamp party next year for "gregsgirl" and her family *LOL* To be honest I think they have lots of things to do and see when they are here. Have a nice evening ladies!
I am actually at my work right now and taking phone calls for the police and put them through to the regions. It is quiet but okay for my throat and my voice which has been recovered now but are still weak.

Hi Anouk! Ooooh, what a lovely thought! A stamp party in Holland!! Wooooo hoooo! Yes, there's lots to see and do, But I always want to stamp!!
And buy the way, I Love the new signature line you have! I see we have another chocoholic in our midst!
You know what I really miss (food wise) in Holland? I adore herring and my aunt Wes made a wonderful Haringsla. Yum! Uncle Jos took me several times for Rolmops.
Uncle Kees knew I have a terrible sweet tooth and brought me boterletters and oliebollen. Lucky for me we were there for St. Nickolaus!!
I make pepernoten and boterletters for my sons every year at St. Nickolaus Day. They love them!

This is sooooooo funny Marlene!!! To hear someone from far over the ocean talk about those typical Dutch food. You mention particularly the sweets we eat around the 5th of December, Sinterklaas (St. Nickolaus). I like boterletter, pepernoten and oliebollen too. I don't like haring that much. Well you probably also know stroopwafels then. Yummie!!!
And poffertjes? I find it quite a job to make poffertjes myself but if I am somewhere where they sell them I ALWAYS buy some! You can wake me up for that in the middle of the night
I have had more reactions on the chocolate saying and it is actually from a RUBBER STAMP (I own of course) *lol* I love chocolate but I am a little bit oversensitive for it also, so no big amounts of chocolate for me.
My throat is already much better, thank you. I am working again.
