A bunch of gals at my church are going to begin a brand new (at least to us) Card Ministry.... making cards for birthdays, anniversaries, get well, et cetera.
I know that there have been ideas here on Splitcoast about how Card Ministry groups work. I even joined a Yahoo group and got lots of good ideas on what works and what doesn't work.
BUT... I would like to come up with a clever name, a nice name, a meaningful name.... Actually, any name at all. My mind has gone blank. So I figured, Splitcoast is the absolute best place to ask. Give me all your ideas and I'll take a vote tomorrow night when we have our first get-together.
I am doing the same thing @ my church. It will not only be a Card Ministry(we actually have one of those) but something more for all kinds of paper crafting. Right now it is temporarily known as Paper Arts-(had to give them some name for the calendar). We will meet monthly and do everything- learning new techniques- new ways to uses old(er) supplies-card making-scrapbooking. Get time for fun & fellowship. I just need to find a catchy name. I will be charging a supply fee based in what the project(s) are. We do the same thing for our Sewing Ministry for the different project kits. Good Luck -I am anxious to hear what names are thrown out.
These are just a few names I think would be nice off the top of my head:
1. "Because We Care"
2. "We Care Ministry"
3. "Someone Who Cares"
4. "Thinking Of You Ministry"
5. "Loving Hearts That Care"
6. "Loving Hearts Ministry"
7. "Cards With Hearts Ministry"
8. "Greetings With Love"
I hope these are helpful and let me know if you pick one.

Well I'm taking this one from my sister's group name. "A Circle of Friends"
We called ours Club SHAK for Stamped, Handmade Acts of Kindness.

I like that!
Our group is called Croppers4Christ. We get together twice a month at church to stamp/scrapbook. If the church needs something, we do it. Otherwise we work on our own stuff. It's a lot of fun!
Our church has recently began a card ministry as well. Our name is based on the story of Noah's Ark. When the dove returned with the olive branch what a sign of hope to Noah and his family after being in that ark floating in all that water, wondering if God had forgotten them. God didn't have to send that branch back with the dove, but He chose to do so, to remind Noah that everything is under control and that there was hope beyond the ark.
SO................all of that to say..........we call our ministry "Dove Notes."
