Transparency for faux postage

Where do I buy transparency for faux postage technique? Is there a special kind and is it possible to use laminating film? Thanks for any advice. Really want to try this!

I just use acetate sheets that i get from Stampin Up. You can also get these at any office supply.

I just use page protectors and cut those for a template... what's nice is that if you had a template for the postage part that you use all the time (I always use the one I got from this site on the tutorials), if you do it right, you can make the template so that if you leave a certain amount of space on the cardstock, you can just slip it in and the corner of the protector helps it stay in place!

Great idea on the page protector sheets. I'm nixing the acetate! These will be much more durable. Thanks for the tip!

I am new to stampin... I printed off the templet for the faux postage and want to try this technique! I do have some page protectors that I will try for the template, so here is my question.


On the page protectors I have you slip the paper in between the plastic. So do you only cut thru one part of the plastic or thru both pieces? Hope you understand what I mean!
