Default so sorry

I can't help you out, but I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am that someone has stolen a stamp set. I can't believe someone would do that at your Open House!!

I don't have it either but it brings up an interesting subject. I have stamp camps in my church fellowship hall and you'd be amazed at the number of "little" stamps I end up missing. My latest camp was last week and I lost 3 of the little stamps from the Holiday tag set. It just steams me especially since you can not just order the missing pieces.

I don't know how to handle it - other than maybe only putting out the 2 or 3 stamps were using for the project. I've always sat out the whole set to let people see what they look like.

Oh well, just venting!

Susan,

Have you called demo support to ask about getting replacements for the pieces you are missing? I had a customer who lost the "A" from Brushstroke Alphabet and they let me purchase another for her. It's worth a try.

Are you a demo? You can call demonstrator support and they will charge you 3.95 a stamp as long as they are current sets. I just replaced the little thank you stamp from love is a circle set.

If not ask your demo to do it for you.

Stampingsanders - I'm sorry that happened to you and your daughter!!! If you can't find someone to sell you their set, depending on the timing, you could borrow mine for a couple weeks. Just let me know.

Maybe you need to see who is selling these sets on EBAY and then check and see if any of the came to your open house!

I am so sorry that happened to you...

I wonder if you sent a note to everyone who was at your Open House and tell them you lost this set. They may just feel guilty enough about it and return it. It may be worth a try. Maybe suggest that they can leave it on your doorstep if you aren't home, that may save them embarassment. Who knows?

I hope it is replaced.

This is what I would do ... and really lay on the guilt. Explain that you purchased it for your daughter for her Christmas cards, etc., etc., and that it is retired and no longer available.

Hopefully whoever took it will return it.

That's really low of someone to take it!

How sad...

But I dont think the person will return it, if they had such little tact to have stolen it. Maybe when you lay the guilt trip on them, tell them to leave on your door step, that way they know, you will never now who it was. Sometimes it's better not to know...

Next camp....have a manditory strip search!!!!!

lol

Does anyone write their name on the wood of each stamp? I never have but after hearing from both of you I was wondering about doing that. Then if someone even accidently picked up a stamp they would know it didn't belong to them. Just a thought!

I used to put address labels on the stamp cases when I was doing workshops and having people over for stamp camps. I knew it might not stop everyone from stealing a set but it might make it a little more obvious if they tried. Plus there was the chance that someone else might notice the label and say something before the thief took of the sticker ot got rid of the box.

How pathetic is it when we even have to think about things like that?!

Holy cow! I've never had that happen to me and I am so so sorry it did to you.

I don't have the set, but I do agree: send out a group message to all your clients and let them know the set was taken and explain how it was purchased for your dd and her cards, etc.

How utterly WRETCHED.

I actually STAMP my ID and phone number on every stamp I own so if someone every accidentally walked off with an image, they'd realize it and return it. Unfortunately, it doesn't prevent theft . . .

I also put my address label on all the boxes. It has NEVER affected resale value of my sets when I sell them . . .

Default missing/stolen

Just wanted to add my regrets for your kidnapped stamps. I have personally called DS several times because I have either had a stamp lifted from my sets or someone has lost the stickers to their set. SU has always been nothing but helpful to me on this. They allowed me to purchase once and also, one time, they just sent me the stamp! FOR FREE!
We are dealing with a very high class company here ladies and Im proud to say that I am part of it.

I know what you mean, Shelly! Once my dog chewed one of my stamps. I called DS and they replaced it for free. SU is such an excellent company, I always expect the best from them, and receive it.

Here is Florida, they have waved our sales requirement due to the hurricanes. I am sure some people requested this. And they could have done it on a case by case basis. But to do that for the whole state, is way over and above the call of duty and I was so proud to be able to share that with my customers last night.

I LOVE SU!

Default stealing

I was a former cm instructor and helped my upline do a class of 12 people one night.I had a personal trimmer taken that night. In which I didn't actually see the girl take it.BUT MORE OR LESS KNEW.that someone on that table took it since there were only 3 people sitting there.1 girl came in with a back pack and left not buying anything but her back pack was fuller than when she left there.I asked several times to that 1 table.where it was since they were all using my 3 new personal trimmers and of course I got no response.

The hostess eventually must of kept after her because I finally got it back. But can you believe that some people go to these parties to do just that.

I also have had people swap out pens sets and take 2 sets of my bold tip pen sets and swap them for thier fine tip pens sets.those I never knew where they went.and never found out.

I originally bought 2 of each sets so if I did infact do large classes I would have enough to go around. Not worth it sometimes.People just don't care they aren't the ones who pocket it comes out of.

I don't understand how they can't feel guilty about these things. wonder how long it stays on thier conciuose for .spelled that one wrong.but you know what I'm saying.
