I am! I can't wait! I haven't done a VSN in over a year! DH was deployed for almost a year and a half and life just got busy while he was gone so I didn't get to participate. He is home now and I told him today that I wanted to do VSN tonight and tomorrow. He's fine with that. YAY!!!

I have not been able to do VSN in a long time - they always seem to be weekends I have stuff going on. Anyway, I hope to do a couple this time around. Can't commit to doing a bunch, just have to see how the weekend goes.

Boohoo! I can't play this one. I love VSN, but all my stamping stuff is still in boxes so I'm going to have to wait for the next one. VSN rocks - I just love that buzz of a new challenge every hour, it really gets the creative juices flowing. And I love the chat threads too. Yay VSN!!!
I voted Maybe. I normally participate in as many as I can, but I've had a terrible cold since Monday and I don't know if I'll survive long tonight. I'm going to try though. They are super fun!
My 3 girls left yesterday at lunch to spend the weekend with my parents up at their mountain home, so I can play every challenge. I've usually been able to do half the challenges for other VSNs as I had my 3 girls home. They always enjoyed playing along, so I would end up helping them or fixing meals, etc. I have to say that as much as I am looking forward to VSN, I do miss my girls! Tonight I'll be hanging out with my husband, then spending all day tomorrow doing Friday's challenges and starting in on Saturday's. I can't wait!!!! This will give me a bunch of cards to give as Christmas gifts!!!
I am hoping to have time tomorrow. I will miss out tonight because I have plans to watch my niece cheer for meet the team night. So hopefully tomorrow I can check out the challenges and try a few.
I usually don't do them because it's a time thing. DH and i have only Friday nights/Saturdays together during the week due to our shifts so my stampin' time is usually Thurs and Friday before he gets home.
I've never participated before, but I'm planning on doing so tonight and part of tomorrow. I just got two big boxes of new SU catalog stuff so I'm excited about playing with my new stuff!
Off to clean my studio a little bit so I have plenty of room when the paper starts flying! Sounds like great fun!
I will only be doing a few, but mostly because I will be gone tomorrow. After the kiddos go to bed, I should be able to play......hopefully I can do a few challenges!!
I have scrapbook class tonight and a garage sale tomorrow, so hopefully after all that I can play catch up. I love VSN and I haven't gotten to participate in it the last few times.

I voted maybe, but not because I don't want to. With my broken foot, I can't sit at my stamp table for very long, but I'm going to do my darnedest to play along for as long as I can!
I participated in my first VSN about 2 or so years ago and have been a hostess numerous times and have even coordinated one. It's a fun way to make a bunch a cards at once and challenge myself to try new techniques that maybe I wouldn't have ordinarily tried. The behind-the-scenes action is even more fun than playing along!
I participated in the last 2 and throughly enjoyed them. this one falls at just the wrong time this year as I am still in "BAck to School " shock--we have had kids since the 13th. I am afraid I wouldn't be able to stay awake for 45 minutes at a time to create.....LOLOLOL......No--there are a bunch of t hings on my plate right now including back to school so I will be looking in if i can but not playing. NEXT TIME though.

Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
I told my dh a couple of weeks ago that I didn't know what he was going to do for this weekend, but as for me I had plans. Plans to be at my crafting table all weekend!!!! Yeah!!!
I plan on trying a few but will probably save the challenge - may not get around to it at the appointed time if I have to work -- some of them sound like fun though.
Oh, that time again already! I may not be able to play much as we are leaving on a trip in a couple days and I still need to make cards for a swap this weekend . . . winter months are better for me. Can't wait to see what y'all have cooked up though! ;)
I tried to vote earlier but got the wonk! I love VSN and will try to get to most, if not all of the challenges this weekend. I love how my card stash fills up after a VSN, and the new techniques and ideas I learn from the challenges and submissions.
I'm doing the ones I like the sound of or the ones I actually have the stuff for. I probably won't be able to get all of them done as I'm in the UK so Friday's challenges start at midnight for me (and finish at like 5am and I know I'm not able to stay up for that!!) so I have to do them on Saturday, then most of Saturday's will get done on Sunday but I'm going to a craft fair on Sunday so probably won't get as much time to do them as I would like. I hate living over here sometimes!!

I really wanted to play along, but could only do so last night and then I couldn't get on SCS so no playing. My kids are going back to school on Monday so the rest of the weekend is chaotic. Maybe next time!
The challenges sound like fun! I'll do the challenges (fun fun fun! Especially the Brown Bear one, and the bookmark one), but won't use any key words or link them or anything, because I'm going to break the time rule on all of them. It takes me hours and hours to make a card; I feel stressed if I know I'm only going to have 45 minutes (or even one entire hour).
It seems that most people who took the poll don't or won't participate, but very few have posted to say why.
I don't take part because I don't like to feel rushed to complete a card. I just wouldn't enjoy having to conform to a time limit. Also, if you take too long to post a card, as with any other challenge, not many will ever see it, and there wouldn't be much feed-back.

That's a great idea! VSN has always been more about the challenges than the time limits.

yes, most VSN cards don't get much "feedback" because not a lot of people know about it (unlike the weekly challenges etc..) but if you don't mind that, it's great fun! I've done 2 challenges and will try to do more today.. er, NOW!

Hijack moment, sorry;
Hey Jeanne, did you know it was one of YOUR cards that came up on one of my Google searches for "Peaceful Wishes" two years ago and brought me to SCS??
I didn't get to do any challenges this time around :( Just didn't work out for me. I really missed it though and once I get back to stamping will be all over it again
It's over and it was fun! I know there's still time to upload, though. I got a nice stack of cards to give as Christmas gifts and I still have a couple more challenges to get through. I played along yesterday and it was just a really fun time. I always enjoy these!
I didn't have much time this weekend, but I did a few of the challenges. Being an English teacher, I LOVE the book theme, but this was my first week back at school--very hectic and exhausting, so I didn't do as many of the challenges as I'd like.
I actually managed to get 9 of the VSN challenges done altogether. I did 4 yesterday (I couldn't do the Smelly one and didn't want to do the newspaper one) and got 5 more done today, but after 3 hours driving and 2 hours spent spending a ton of money at a craft fair I really couldn't do any more, especially as I still had to photograph and upload them all.
I really enjoyed this VSN and will probably do the challenges I missed later on this week.
