The wonderful women who work for me gave me a Stampin' Up gift certificate--I enjoyed it so much for the 10 minutes I had it before I used it! Better than chocolate!
I totally wish that I had that stamp set because I'm searching for ideas for my 3 bosses for tomorrow (all women in their 30's and they are friends, so each card has to be equally good) !!! I would LOVE to give them a card like that !!!
We got a new boss this year and this was the first year I have not been recognized for Administrative Professionals Day. An administrative professional scorned........

That is terrible! Shoot, I make sure they remember and will put it on their calendar and highlight it. I work for surgeons so I had to train them right from the gate... Every now and then I have to give them a reality check and remind them who takes care of them. They are so spoiled and can make my hair tired...
I used to be a secretary and had finally gotten a job that paid more and was NOT an administrative job. The first Secretary's Day my boss gave each of us CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS flowers for Secretary's Day! Ok...I looked at that as an insult (I respect people who do admin work, but for me going to cust serv was a promotion). He treated us like his personal assistants and the flowers on that day only added to his condesceding attitude toward us.
I'm not in that job any more and we (the team I'm on) gave our bosses gifts and I made accordian cards for them. They are women and they LOVED them.
Sorry...I had to vent as the mention of Secretary's Day gets me all riled up!
I'm with QCBetty - nothing. I work for AT&T and they announced layoffs today. So, after 26 years it's bye-bye for me. On the bright side, secretly, I can't wait to have more time for stampin' though! hahahaha.
Last week my boss was sitting next to me and flipped the calendar to November, and said pointing, "very important day here". I didn't respond, so she repeated, finally I said "oh?". It's her birthday. Right, like she noticed mine. No one in our group would want to sign a card for her even if I did make one. So sad....

Last year I made cards for my DH's bosses. I'm not doing that this year. I've never gotten anything from my boss or for my boss in 8 years. I'm not and admin. professional. I'm a librarian.... but I don't even get anything on Special Libraries Day in April, so I suppose that would be equivolent to admin. prof. day... anyways, I'm doin' nothin'

sorry to hear about your job, but you seem to have a good attitude about it. It's probably their loss...and yes, more time for stamping and SCS!
