Default What would you CHOOSE if there were a choice?

If an image came in clear, unmounted rubber, and wood mounted rubber, which one of that image would you buy?

Wood for me! I'm still a wood mounted gal - I'm just very tactile, and something about the feel of those little woods in my hand is so very comforting ;)

probably woodmounted rubber or unmounted rubber--only because i find that many of the clear stamps do not provide a solid image every time like the rubber ones do.

Either unmounted rubber or clear. I love the price of clear, and that you can see where your stamping, but I like the quality of rubber.

Wood-mounted rubber (I am a lazy stamper and if it is not "ready to use it rarely gets used). If I really loved the image and had nothing remotely similar to it I would consider unmounted rubber (but hopefully already with the cushion and trimmed; I am not too fond of sheets of images).

I have yet to use a clear stamp successfully (except one made by Stampington that a fellow cropper let me borrow) but I know there are quality ones on the market.

I would say clear would be my first choice if it was a good quality polymer and stamped perfectly every time. I just love seeing where I am stamping but red rubber does seem to be the highest qualty hands down. I love unmounted rubber on cling but it's still hard to see exactly where you are stamping sometimes.

I'll take a good quality clear stamp anyday. I like to put stamps together and make a scene. The one dollar stamps from places like Michaels and Joanns? well, you get what you pay for.

clear! and as far as issues with them stamping off well, sometimes it has to do with the paper and/or the type of ink you are using. once adjusted to that, there's no going back!!

ditto. either um rubber or wm rubber. I want to be able to stamp once and get a good image not 10 times and really hope to get a usable one.

I'd rather have unmounted rubber...easy to store and I know they'll last a good long time. I've heard too many stories about clear stamps tearing or getting stuck to the storage sheets.
I'll only buy clear if I absolutely have to have the image. Paper Pretties stamps fall into that category....haven't bought any yet, but they're calling to me! LOL!

I'm with TeeGeeDee.............Lazy stamper here. I want the wood mounted. Used my unmounted once and I always grab my mounted stamps. Just don't like having to place them on a block. JMO

Well I enjoy using all three of these choices, but I would probably go with the Unmounted one.

Cause the unmounted Rubber stamps are what I have the most of.

Definitely wood mounted. I'm a lazy stamper and I want to grab and stamp. Not hunt for the image, the block, etc. before I can get started. Don't care about storage. If I put it away............like in a binder or something.......I won't use it. OUt of site...........out of mind. I have over 165 SU sets, in their original boxes. Right where I can see them.

If room wasn't an issue, wood mounted, but I am now buying any non SU stamps as either bare old rubber or rubber with ez mount. If it is an image I really like and it isn't available in rubber, I will break down and buy clear. But I am a rubber kind of gal.

Unmounted rubber or clear photopolymer all the way. I hate having to dig through drawers or cases of wood blocks to find a stamp image, then to put the wood block stamp away after is such a pain.

I would choose the unmounted rubber - you get the superior image but you have less storage and less cost... Love unmounted!

I personally would choose the wood mounted rubber. So far I have not been won over by the unmounted folks (I see why they do it, but I don't wanna go back and umount all my stamps.... and I don't wanna have a mix either) I also tend to be lazy, I want grab a stamp go to town, not hunt down the right size of clear block! I don't do any clear stamps so far, just not happy with them.

I would choose wood mounted if it was an image that I might be using a lot (a greeting, flowers, etc.) because the wood-mounted are easiest to grab and use. For something I'd use less often such as holiday images, I'd go with either bare rubber or clear simply because I'm running out of space. If I had unlimited space, I'd go wood mounted all the way. But really, I like to stamp with all kinds of stamps!

Clear or unmounted for me. I totally love choosing little clear morsels and building an ensemble or picture. I do have lots of wood mounted, and I like the quality, but the storage is too bulky/clunky. I keep my clear and unmounted rubber to sheet protecters and then in 3 ring binders. I love just leafing through the pages and choosing the perfect flower + bird + leaf + grasss + sentiment and then assembling everything onto one big acrylic block.

I have had stamping bloopers with the wood mounted just the same as the clear and unmounted. User error. Plus, you get way more stamp/stamps for your money. I hate paying twice of what I should for a piece of wood.

Clear! It's easier to make sure a sentiment or image gets stamped straight. If it's rubber, I have to use my Stampamajig, which is an extra step.
