Default Versamark Pen

What is wrong with my versamark pen? I try to use it for embossing in detailed areas like my Versamark pad, but nothing will stick to it. Why? Bad pen? Not meant for EP?

Mine was the same way. I just stopped using it thinking that I did not know how to use it properly. Makes me wonder, though, if someone else is having problems with it as well. :?

Default versa pen

Me too! I don't really know what the purpose for them is. I've been wondering if you could dip them in the versa refill, but haven't had enough guts to try. I should though, since I'm not using it anyway.

Me 4.
I quit using it because it just made me mad. I'm going to try adding some refill to it though....it can't be worse than it already is!

ME 5!!!!! I just got mine through the great rewards.... I just tried using it twice- I had to act quickly with the embossing powder because it seemed to dry very quickly. it doesn't seem as sticky as the versamark pad???????

Sorry, ladies. My Versamarker works for EP just fine. :? I've never had any problems with it. Can you send them back to SU! and get replacements or refunds? Just a thought.

How strange...I love my Versamarker. It's as wet as the pad and things stick just as well. I'd send it back or try to refill it.

I am curious how all you are storing your versamarker? Do you think storing it up/down would effect how well it works? Mine worked fine but it isn't as juicy as the pad. I would call demo support and ask!!

My pen writes fine (didn't get it from SU!) I use it with word stencils then emboss it. They are duel ended (at least the one I have is, and you have to store them horizontal. Can you trade/refund it? Maybe it came from a bad batch or dried out.

I just used my versamark pen to do my 36 swap cards for the gathering on Saturday. It works just fine. I sometimes have to go over the spot a 2nd time but then it hold the EP just fine. I used it with my Heat and Stick powder to put flocking on my cards.

It is not as sticky as the pad and whenever I go to apply embossing powder it NEVER sticks. It is like just using a non-sticky fluid. I store mine horizontally since there are two ends on it.

I love, love, love mine. it's wonderful for embossing. I like it so much I've switched from crayon resist to emboss resist just because it's so much easier to be precise and detailed than with a blunt crayon. Maybe y'all's have something wrong with them.

My Versamark pen seemed dry, too, when I first tried it. E Powder would not stick. I jusy put it away and marked it up to expeience.

Well mine is brand new from Michaels and after reading this post I got it out and tried it. The embossing powder did not stick. I am going into work
today and we have a different one there from zig and I am going to try it
and see whats up.

I have been using mine lately to fill in inperfections and it seems to work. It is just when I try to use it on a larger scale. The EP won't stick. Thank you for all of your feedback!

I've had mine for about 1 1/2 yrs. When I first got it it worked great for embossing. I think it is getting dry because it doesn't work anymore...it still writes, but dries too quickly for embossing.

Recently received the VersaMark Pen from SU and I am very disappointed. Plenty of fluid, but no sticking power.

I can relate to everyone! I tried it and it didn't work (non-SU EP). Then I tried it again and it did work (SU EP-silver), Then I tried it using the pastel EP and it didn't work, so maybe its the EP and not the pen????
