I have a handful of the SU background stamps, but there are so many new ones, I was wondering if there are any that are "must haves". I notice a lot of people are using the flannel plaid. I also don't have the cheesecloth. Which ones from this catty are "must haves"?
I'm a huge Print Pattern fan, and Paisley. I love the retired French Script, the new one just doesn't do it for me. I recently got the Sanded b/g and I'm liking that a bunch too.

yep...I like the retired French Script as well.....
I have Canvas, Linen, Floral, Script (the original french script), print pattern. But I don't have cheesecloth, or plaid flannel or french flair. Trying to decide which ones to get of those 3.
I love the texture that Linen gives to plain card stock. I cut the birds out of the French Flair and mounted them seperately so that I can use other things in place of them. Cheesecloth is still one of my all time favorites - but didn't it get retired? The other one that I use often is Fine Lace.
I love the retired French Script, as well as French Flair & Crosshatch. I got some samples of the Paisley BG through Wish RAK and think that one will have to be on purchase list shortly.
I use Canvas a lot. I have Polka Dot and Sanded on their way to me (excited)! I love what I've seen with Print Pattern, but have yet to get it myself. I had Dotted, but I didn't like anything I made with it so I traded it.

I love the new Sanded. I also like Linen, Crosshatch, Weathered, Flannel, and the retired French Script. Like Barb, the new one doesn't move me at all.
I really like linen, weathered and floral. I'm sorry I missed out on cheesecloth, but maybe I'll run across it somewhere. I have flannel, polka dot, sanded, posy, baroque and paisley on my wish list. lol
Which ones are a must have? Silly! ALL of them! ;)
Seriously, I think Linen and Weathered are very versitle and add just the right touch. That being said, I use and love Print Pattern, Floral, Paisley and Polka Dot a lot, too!

I have a whole shelf of background stamps.. which I like never reach for.. and most are all now retired.. however I recently bought three new ones: Polka Dots, Riot of Petals and Pretty Petals. I must say that I don't know why I waited to get these three.. they are awesome.. especially the Polk Dots. I have used it on nearly everything I have made since I got it a week or so ago. Pam

I have such a difficult deciding that I most of the time I don't get it until it goes on the retiring list (sort of a last chance to know I can get it instead of hoping to find it FSOT).
I love Flannel Plaid, just got Weathered (had to ... it was retiring!), and I want Sanded. I also own Floral, Linen, and the current Paisley. I don't use them as often as i should but that is because they are not conveniently located (we are considering selling our house so we are packing/storing in an effort to "stage" it.)
I often use the old Stipple Plaid BG (stamping it twice in different colors is a nice effect...just move it to the right slightly when you do the second color). Love the Canvas BG and have Sanded on my wish list (I've seen so many great cards using this BG!).
