Love it! Anyone else really impressed with the new SU catty?
I am so impressed! How do they do it? Each year they come up with fresh and innovative ways to keep me coming back for more! (and I'm not a demo) This catalog is beautiful!
I love colors and the new categories, I love the new stamps, I love the way they are keeping the colors fresh, I love the new project ideas, I LOVE the new punches and the new DP, and the way everything goes together, etc, etc!!! While I don't love every single stamp set, I think there is wonderful variety and something for everyone!
Sorry to go on, I'm just in new catalog heaven! (ahhh.... it's better than... well, ya know)
Does anyone else share in my bliss? What do ya LOVE?
(P.S. I think there's a different thread out there somewhere if you don't, this thread belong to the "lovers"!)
I love it - I am dragging it around everywhere with me (in and out of the house) like a newborn! I think they did a great job on it - even the little scallop edge on the outside - too cute! I'm liking what I see and have a "wish list" so long , it doesn't fit on my demos order form!
This is my favorite catalog in a number of years. In fact, I'm hosting a workshop next month! Haven't done that since before I signed with TAC. I think it's the Pacific Point...

I think the little "How-To" pages in between sections was a really nice touch!
As for the products, I'm definitely more blown away with this catty than I was with the S/S catty. To me, the In Colors aren't all that great, but they more than made up for it with the stamps, paper and accessories... WOWZA! My wallet will be hurtin' this year! LOL
I think it's great that not only can SU keep up with the trends, but introduce a few of their own, as well. To me, that's the true hallmark of a really successful company. And no, I'm not a demo either.
I have loved each catty in the past, but I REALLY love this one. I too like the "how to" in each section and like most of the new designs. I have a cuttlebug, so I can not wait for the new SU dies.
Love the how to's also, very user friendly. I don't have a very long wish list of stamps yet (although the Silhouettes are my fave!) but the DP is just soooo yummy. The Halloween sets are on the "dark" side and so fun!
I love love love all the new samples. They are not only making me like what's new, but they're making me like what I HAVE in a new way. I'm with you, Joni, on the silhouettes (and that avatar is a CUTIE). I also think the Level 1 hostess sets are better this time. Some of the sets, I have to say, are poor replicas of ones that retired. On the whole, I like it better than the last catty.
I too LOVE this catalog and think it's the best one they've put out in some time.
And of course I adore so many of the new stamps sets. Like another poster I too thought the colors and everything had a fresh look to it, and it's just exactly how I descriped it to my friend a couple days ago.
I read the negative thread last PM and this is so refreshing to hear some positive comments. I especially love all the silhouette stamps. Initially I didn't think the in colors were so great, but they're really growing on me as I see more and more cards using them. That's usually what happens....I don't think I like a certain set until I see a 'WOW' card made with it, then I've gotta have it. :-) Happy browsing and wishing to all!

I am VERY pleased with the designer papers for two reasons: 1 they list the colors so you don't have to guess and 2 they aren't all in-colors. Some of us don't buy the in colors and are then turned off by all of the DS papers htat include them. I love that the DS papers have so many options that are from the standard color families. I'll be buying lots more because of it.

I picked up the skulls DSP along with urban gardens. I really liked the urban gardens, because it went along with the upsy daisy stamp set. I had to pick that up since it was on sale.
I saw the in colors from my upline, and only really liked kiwi kiss, baja breeze, and pacific point.
I love the new DP, the new scrappin kits and a lot of the beautiful accessories and punches! I have only looked through the catty once, I just got it, but so far I am as pleased as usual!
I really like 3 of the new in-colors, which is exactly equal to the past 2 years, I have always really liked 3 of them, too! LOL!

I really really really like it! 3-reallys= LOVE!!! lol
I adore the new papers, Skull set is my fave set, silhouette flowers next!!
I think SU did great with this one!!!
I agree with so many things that lbirus said! (I think we have a friend in common.)
I have a list of maybe 20 stamps sets. I usually end up getting sets from the minis, and never get everything on my wish list, but that's why they call it a wish list, right? I love lots of the papers, the cool new brads and vanilla hardware (already have the silver), the Big Shot dies, the new punches, the scallop on the catalog, and the tip pages in the catalog. (I think that's better than a separate little booklet.)
I love Pacific Point, and how Tangerine Tango contrasts with it on a card. I love Riding Hood Red, and I think Pink Pirouette may be just what I've been looking for when I make a card for my daughter who is a dancer! Whether I love all of the in colors or not, I enjoy having new ones to work with, and end up getting them all.
I could go on, but I want to watch the Olympics.
I was on here last night and saw everyone saying how long it took to download the catty yesterday and then sometimes not being able to even see it. I waited til this morning and it only took 3 minutes to download it. Spent all morning drooling! I get my actual catty tomorrow evening.

Same here - I took my catalog along to sit in the car and look at it while my hubby went in Lowe's! LOL!
FYI, the downloadable catalog is just a stop gap for when we get the online ordering on our websites! So this is probably the one and only time you will have to download it, since the next one will just be put into the online ordering system as soon as the selling period starts!
SU! rocks...my wish list is definitely just as long or longer than it has been for any other catalog. I'm slowly getting to know the new colors...Kiwi Kiss is definitely my fave so far, but Baja Blue and Pink Pirouette are not far behind. The other ones I will have to play with some more, but I have yet to meet a color I couldn't find a use for. ;)
I'm studying my catty like I have to go in tomorrow for the SATs (Stampin Apptitude Test ;)
I LOVE the new DP. I was happy to see the Summer Picnic in there but I don't like that as much as I did since I've now seen all the new DP! I just wish it was a little cheaper and part of me hates that it's 2 sided (unless you fold it you never really "use" the other side).
My fav is Just Jawing since I sew and can't wait to stamp that on a onesie and make some sparkly eyes! I wish they had some fun die cuts to go with it!
I saw the other thread saying they didn't like it but I had nothing to say on there so I'm glad I found this thread!
I love it! I've rewritten my wish list several times and I'm sure it will be revamped again and again after samples are posted. I can't stop looking at the new catalog!!!!!

I was immediately in love with Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango, and {duh}, anything red, riding hood or not (it's my "signature color") but now I think I may learn to love the blues too. Also did you notice the way the whole catalog feels very "pottery barn"?
I love all the 3d items too, stamping gifts is my favorite type of stamping!
I'm also impressed that the big shot is now an SU item! Brilliant~! I'll be saving my pennies for that (and booking a party to help pay for it).
((heavy sigh)), no rest for the pocketbook!
I love it too...Placed two orders already. The first order was placed on the first day we could order at about 1pm. I did not get expditied shipping but my order still shipped the same day...I about fell off my chair. I placed another order yesterday but that one is still in closed. Blessings.
I just picked mine up this afternoon (was on vacation 3 states away when my demo sent a message saying they were in....the agony!!!). I really love this catalog! I was lukewarm on the past couple ones so I'm excited that this one is more "me". I loved all the beautiful new sets. Although I'm more of a nature/flower/beautiful swirly things kind of stamper (Baroque Motif is really "me") I secretly can't wait to order the "Cheers To You" set!!

Totally second this. The decorative papers are really pretty & I am so glad to use my old olive & so saffron with them. I love the in colors but I tend to skip them since they are going away. (I get too attached!) I did get Pacific Point however, there was no resisting it. It was hard to whittle down the order & I still have a long wish list!
