This week's sketch is one of the very first ones I picked out for a sketch challenge possibility and I'm finally getting around to it! The sketch was inspired by a great card that 11Valerie11 did for a limited supply challenge moons ago. I thought Valerie's placement of the tag was really unique. Hope you enjoy this week's challenge inspired by this great card:
BONUS FUN CHALLENGE: You have a fun challenge this week! There are 2 parts to this challenge: link your card using sketch 39 here AND choose any of the previous 38 sketches and create a NEW card using that sketch and link it here. For this challenge you only have to do the new sketch once and you can do as many cards with old sketches as you like. I will give each of the cards you did using the previous 38 sketches a number and I will draw a random winner next week! Clear as mud? Let me know if you have questions..... (also, when you link your oldie but goodie sketch card please let us know which sketch you used and put that sketch's SC__ number in your keywords!)
To print this layout: - (nc means no color) If you see a small layout click on it or if you see an icon click on the words next to it.
-When the black surround screen appears click only on the layout and a white screen with the layout should appear.
-Right click and click on print from the pop up box or hold down your shift key and P key at the same time.
-Now you're ready to choose print and it should print to actual size of the card depending on your computer.
What a pretty card!! Hope I can find some time to do this challenge!! Thanks Andrea. I was also wondering something, I know you are a teacher, and you work, is there any way the challenge can be posted the night before so we people who are SCS addicts (not mentioning any names ;) )don't have to sit by the computer all day hitting refresh? Just a thought, if it is a dumb one, let me know...

haha, I USUALLY try to post it late Tuesday night. For some reason I have had my days mixed up the last two weeks, lol. So all day today I thought it was Tuesday and I was going to be good and go home and post it in the evening LOL. I felt badly when I realized it was Wednesday already :( I am going to make an effort to get it done Tuesday night next week for sure!!!
OMG Andrea, that was soooooooooo long ago!! Imagine my surprise seeing my name as your inspiration piece!! Thanks!! I think that card is buried in my gallery somewhere! Mmmmm, will I have time to do this one?? I have no idea at this point, getting into the next round of DD uploads now!
Great idea, Andrea -- I need stock up on some fall birthday and thank you cards anyway! AND I need to catch up on a LOT of sketch challenges I've missed this summer!

I am getting really depressed!! Everything I post gets deleted from the gallery. The card I posted in the gallery for this challenge had over 20 comments on it and now it is no longer there! HELP- Nothing I have posted for the past week has stayed in my gallery --any thoughts on this??

When you post to the gallery, are you giving it a unique name, and placing it in the right gallery? Those are two of the biggest reasons I can see that things would get deleted. If you already have something with the same name in your gallery, then the system deletes one, thinking it already has it.

That is depressing! You should definitely contact Jenn (jbalcer) via PM or e-mail. She's the gallery guru and will definitely help you. Echoing what Val already said, my guess would have to do with the gallery scanning for duplicates and deleting. When you first scan into your computer, the picture program you are using will automatically assign a file name to that picture. It will be something generic like "pic01" or whatever. You must rename your pics on your computer before you upload them to SCS. Otherwise it is highly likely that there is already a pic in the gallery with the same generic file name. Pics with duplicate names get deleted. The "name" you give them in your gallery when you upload doesn't matter, but the actual file name on your computer does.
I'm not very computer saavy, so I hope that makes some sense! LOL!
Please let us know when you talk to Jenn if you find out for sure what the problem is.
I had to play with this a while to get it to where I liked it. I think the layout is neat, but it gave me trouble. Maybe I'll mull it over and try again later.

I love this sketch!! Valerie's original is awesome and I am so glad ANdrea chose it for this weeks sketch. I am posting my card again so if any of you are so inclined to check it out and comment that is most kind and appreciated. I have been having so much trouble with things vanishing from my gallery and Jenn Balcer has been so nice trying to help me out!

I finally got to try another SC!! Hurray!! Unfortunatly, I spent all my time trying out this new layout... and made two cards with it (it was a VERY slow process for me tonight, I just couldn't get anything quite right), so I will have to come back and try another SC later. I will just add it later!! Thanks for the sketch Andrea!! SC36 card one
