new catty on website?
When will the new catty be on the SU site? I thought that sales began on aug 1. Obviously, I'm mistaken so when can I start buying from the new catty?

I heard it was today, August 11th, 2008. But if you have been up on their website you can see it is not posted yet. :( Maybe its to early in the morning still.

They don't put the new catalog on until noon-ish mountain time. (oops, I originally had the wrong time) I'm pretty sure they do that each time the big catalog switches over.

LOL, maybe they know we'd NEVER get ANY work done today if they post it too early. Well, guess I'll have to tackle the chores after all while I wait. Thanks for letting us know.

I am trying to become a demo but it is not allowing me to online The error says:
The item 101179 is in the kit 114542 but is not defined as a member of the kit.
This is for the Basic Black ink which is in the kit. Any ideas what I can do to fix this? I did try to substitute black for Basic Grey but it won't allow me to keep the black either.....
The SU lines are busy and my damo and I are stuck - any ideas? tia

it's there, but you have to download it (and it is taking FOREVER!!) At the moment (and I hope this changes soon) you can view it with the quick flip like you could the spring/summer catty.
I have NO patience and I am dying for it to finish downloading. :(

It's online in Canada. But slow isn't the word. It's been an hour and I'm just able to see the hostess sets now.
Still no comp catty. I am really disappointed at the way things went this time.

Ummm, why did you shut off your computer? I leave mine on 24/7. It is harder on the computer to constantly turn it off and on.

Oops! I forgot that there were people still on Dial-up (LOL!). I am so glad you found the download! So what does that mean? Does the download pick up where you left off before? Well, anyway, I am glad you have most of it.

Yeah, it picked up where I left off...and now I have the entire catty on my Icon page thingy...(forget what it's called, duhhhhh)... YAY! I just finished going thru it...wrote down the stamps I want...didn't EVEN try to write down accessories...I want them ALL! LOL...
I'm so excited because my computer has a "drawer" function thingy where it shows thumbnail pages, and also a search function, so if I want a set, I type it in, and it gives me ALL the times it appears in the catty...wooHOO!
NOW...we gotta convice somebody to bring that metalic cording back....sighhhhh...I was hoping it came back, but no luck...but the new ribbons are awesome! YEAH!

SU did us wrong with the download only! I have Fios high speed and the catty is a huge file. The Olympics will be over before it is downloaded! I wish there was a complaint button to send them. I want my "View" back!

A 212 page pdf file is nearly impossible to download via dial-up, especially a line that isn't solely used for internet. Perhaps the persons at SU's home office responsible for this decision didn't consider that there are still a lot of people that have no other choice than dial-up. There may be lots of disappointed customers over this inability to view the catty online.

My laptop wouldn't even download it because the file is too big! I hope this is just temporary. I don't remember reading anything about them changing the online catalog, and with the new online ordering coming this fall, I'm thinking they'd have to go back to the way it was.

its not just dial up I have high speed and their site just doesn't seem to beable to keep up with the demand it took a few hours to download only to have an error message pop up on 212 pages of blank white space how peeved am I:twisted: Their last catty never had such problems. Sorry just venting you wait and wait and still can't look.

Yeah!!!!!! - I got it
I was dissappointed yesterday as to my attempts to download - but thought I would give it one more try while I made dinner so that it could just sit there and download - To my surprise - it downloaded in 6 minutes!!!! I saved a copy to my desktop for future use.
Hang in there - it is getting faster since there are not so many of us trying to download at once.

I had the same problems as you all are having and got some tips on how to get it so I will now share with you since I have it downloaded now...YEAH!!!
Go to www.stampinup.com. Go to the bottom right and click on view catalog. When the link comes up to download it, right-click on the link under the pic of the catalog. Choose save target as and save it to my documents or where ever you save your stuff. It will start to down with a download window. It will tell you how much it downloaded (like 2% or whatever). Mine timed out twice...just go back to the link and follow the same steps (right-click...save target as...etc...). The download will start right where it quit so it doesn't have to start over every time. Still took awhile but oh so worth it. The download is the actual catalog....not like before!

For those who haven't checked the website yet, the download is only temporary until the new online ordering system starts up in the fall. Not as easy as before, but it will be worth it once the new system is up!

Temporary or not, my thought was: sad, sad, sad. SU didn't do this right at all. Much too big of a file.
I looked for a customer feedback e-mail address, but that too seems to be hidden. I gave up and can imagine that others have too.
