As you've probably heard by now, SCS (including, apparently, Daven ) was acquired by NameMedia Inc. earlier this month.
When Sean Polay (head kahuna for NameMedia's group of websites that now includes SCS) introduced himself (see post #214 on page 6 of the Announcement thread), that got some SCSers going.
First, one asked for his address, so they could send a warm welcome to NameMedia. . . .
Then another asked Sean if he'd post the cards that came in (so we could all oooohhh and aaaaahhhh over them, natch). . . .
And yet another started a thread in General Stamping, inviting everyone to join in in extending that famous (infamous?) SCS hospitality to the NameMedia new guys. . . .
Well guess what? Sean started his gallery today!
So who's with me on stalking Sean's gallery to see what the postman brings him next?

Thanks for putting the links all in one place. The last few days have been crazy for me and I finally have a chance to catch up and hopefully get cards in the mail before the end of the week.
Third Avenue in Waltham is LITERALLY right around the corner from where I am right now, where I work. I work at a Venture Capital Firm in Waltham, right on Winter Street. BIZARRE!!
I can tell you that we are currently dealing with tons of flooding & power outages in this lovely section of Waltham - so if you don't see him online, that's why!! :rolleyes:

Yup I'll confirm that too. My husband is in IT at a company right near there and he keeps having to deal with power outages. I love our small world.

we're going to be in a sort of transitionary mode with NameMedia while we get to know each other and get more joined up with them. sending cards to Sean is perfect because it helps them get to know us and (for those at NM who aren't real familiar) what papercrafting's all about too.
Sean is on vacation today through August 4, so when he gets back I hope he has lots of catching up to do :^)

Mine should be there when he gets back. I've been checking every day. I thought he might be on vacation. In my neck of the woods this is a big vacation time too. I can't wait to see all the goodies he's gotten.

I checked earlier today too. I know how crazy things can be when you get back from vacation. I figured he's still reading emails. But maybe he is still opening envelopes.

This morning, Sean said he was still scanning cards.
I got seven scanned today, and I barely made a dent in the pile.
Many thanks to all! Another couple arrived today, too. I'll keep scanning and posting over the next several work days, and then take a photo of them all hanging around my cubicle. I started hanging them there so co-workers can stop by and view them all. It's going to be quite the collection!
