I bought the stamp storage Keeper system from inque boutique! I love it so much more than the cd cases. Check it out. they come in 8 1/2 x 11 ($2.00 ea) or 12 x 12 (2.49 ea). this is the on line site I used.
I think this is much better than cd cases because some SU set are too big for one CD case. I only bought 6 now I wish I bought more when I placed my first order.

I like the idea of putting these in a 3-ring binder. I can't tell from the photo...do the stamps go in/between the plastic or are they just stuck on 1 layer (does that make sense)? Are they between anything or could they just fall off?
They are like a clam shell. They are two plastic sheets that snap together very easily. Once snapped together nothing will fall out. Very much like SU plastic boxes except both sides are the same depth ( I would say about 1/4 inch thick )and they complelety separate at the spine (hole punch area). The pics on the web site makes it look like it is connected at the spine but it is not. Again, Love them! I can store clear stamps on both sides with a piece of paper between them. My SU stamps are mounted on the foam so I only use one side.
i buy the HP clear cd cases in the electronics department at Wal-Mart - they are $3.97 for a 10 pack
Me, too. They aren't necessarily as cheap as some of the online prices I've seen, but they are sturdy and I can just grab a pack now and then ~ easier to take than paying S&H.
Thanks, everyone! I just got back from Target, where I picked up two packages of CD cases. Now I can store all of my clear stamps from The Saltbox Studio and label them. I just love to organize!
I'm pretty new at this... I understand about storing the clear stamps in a cd case. But once you unmount stamps from a wooden block, then what? How do thye stick to the acrylic blocks? If this is easy, then I may unmount mine for the sake of storage also!
I think the most popular choice is EZmount which sticks to the rubber and the other side is a cling material that will attach to the acrylic blocks.
I also use bare rubber on an acrylic block that has Tack'n'Peel attached - it's a thin film that sticks to the acrylic block permanently and the exposed side is tacky enough to hold the rubber die. I also stick brand new SU stamps with the backing paper still on to the Tack'n'Peel and it comes back off easily. You can also then still use the other side of your acrylic block for regular clear stamps or EZmounted stamps too.
There are a lot of threads about unmounting ~ I'd use the search box with "unmounting" in the General Stamping thread.
Be sure to ask if you have any more questions ;) ~ there are a lot of people discussing this topic all the time!
I too love Rima.com. My two sisters and I always order the 200 and split it three ways. They come WITHOUT the insert so that is a step saved.
Blessings.
I got mine at rima.com like Rachel. Great price if you need lots of them and no plastic insert to throw away because you can order them without them.
This is awesome. I've been giving the inserts to my boyfriend to use because I had no idea what to do with them and felt bad throwing them out.
Are they sturdy? He bought me some from Big Lots and they are really flimsy. I won't buy them from there again. Most of the inserts broke when I tried to remove them. If they are sturdy, I am going to order from them when I need more.
Do you know a cheap place to get the DVD cases without the place for the DVD? I want to put my bigger sets in these. THanks for the CD site. Great price!
I found full size (not slim) CD cases at Best Buy. Huge pack of 50 for something like $25. The cases do have a black center part but it is easily removed. They were by the blank discs in the computer section.
Unmounting is a chore but I have never regretted it.

Thanks for the tip.
They don't seem any different to me than the cd cases I was stealing from our cd rack.;) Seem to be the same quality. I have had a few that were broken, but with 200 it's still a great deal and it was only a few. I think UPS dropped one of my boxes because there was a gouge in the side (they come in two big boxes). I am set for quite a while with cd cases. :-D

The insert comes out very easily. They are canadian based so the shipping may seem a tad high, but that is why (if you're in the US). They came super fast and I will be ordering more through them.
Hope that helps!
I bought a pack of 10 at Target for 3.99. You just have to pop the insert out of them. You can order online probally alot cheaper if you need a big amount. My husband orders DVD cases online and its pretty cheap.
Thanks for the information Niki. I will be ordering them whan I need more. I much prefer purchasing them without the insert. I hate filling our landfills with plastic when it is not necessary.
Another vote for Target...regular (not slim) cases are $3.99 for 10 here. 10 at a time works for me...I hate to have 100 cases sitting around...it would (should) take me a LONG time to fill those up!
Walmart here doesn't carry the regular cases, only slim ones. :(

If there is a freecycle group in your area, you maybe be able to ask for some. I get mine that way. I just picked up about 100 from someone the other day! They are of course used, but are in really good condition - just a few minor scrapes or scratches here and there - but I'm totally willing to put up with that when I get them for free! You can find out if there is one near you and read about it here:
Rima is currently out of stock on the CD cases. Last email I had from them said they would have them back in stock after the 15th. Don't remember the number, but when they are in stock, when you click on CD/DVD packaging, they should show up when you scroll down the product list. I love them and for me they are the cheapest. Used to get them from Big Lots, but for me, Rima was cheaper!
Here is another source for bulk cases without the insert. I have ordered from Rima but not this source. The shipping is less than Rima but the cost for 200 is a little more.
But, polylinecorp says that theirs are discontinued and only available while supplies last. Sure hope everyone doesn't do away with them because of the new slim line cases....they don't hold stamps with cushion!!!! What are these people thinking???
