Default Do you sign your cards?

I was wondering if you sign your cards before giving away or selling and if yes - how. Do you just put a simple Handcrafted by.. on the back or something more? I think I saw a sticker with name and contact on somebody's cards.. is it ok?

I have several stamps that say "Handmade by" or "Created by" and then I put my first name and the year in by hand. I'm always telling my friends not to forget to put there names on the back.

When I sell cards I made from SU product, I use one of their Angel Policy stamps as that has to be on the back of cards you sell using their products. Other companies, have their own Angel Policy regarding this. I only do SU as it is much easier. I do initial it though.

I have a cute stamp that I got at Walmart, of all places. It came in a pack with another stamp that said thank you.

I use it on the back of all my cards and sign my first name. I usually color in the little flower with a coordinating gel pen to match the card.

i have one of SU!'s angel policy stamp sets. i generally use those if i use SU! stamps. and if i'm using stamps from another company, i have a 'created by' stamp that i got ages ago. i just sign my name and date it. easy as pie.

and yes, you can order a personalized stamp. i don't personally have one, but i had a customer who bought one. she loves it!

Default I always sign mine!

I use different stamps to sign the backs of cards. One of my favorites is a stamp the looks like 60's eyeglasses. It's about 3/4" long. I stamp it and add a little Stickles to the corners of the frames - so cute! I have a lot of stamps that I use to sign my creations, some made for that purpose, some, just small stamps that fit my theme. Last night I made an anniversary card with Cosmobella and used a small martini glass to sign it on the back. I like to use a stamp that I made with my Cuttle bug. I took extra rubber from trimming SU stamps and peeled off thecushioning. Then I used a heart die and now I have a wonderful heart stamp, just the right size to sign a card in pale ink, then put my initials and the date in it!

Elzybels has some super cute personalized stamps that you can only get until the end of the month. It is a European company so keep the $$ conversion in mind. I bought one anyway as I couldn't resist the little girl with my name/e-mail info!

I use an SU stamp from the Art by Design set for the angel policy. I usually initial and '08 for the year. Next to that I have a small stamp I ordered from VistaPrint which has my name, telephone number and email address.

I often feel like it's a little much, but I want to comply with SU and also try to stimulate sales. I didn't go with an SU personalized stamp because not all my cards use SU stamps.

Yes, always. I have a little simple fish (symbol for follower of Christ) that I stamp on the back and then sign my name and write the year. The stamp I use if from Stampendous.

If I am selling a card with any SU images I cut the copyright part off one of the angel policy stamps and stamp that somewhere on the back.

I use a little monogram stamp that I found at Michael's. Then I write my first name and the year over top of it. That's what I do now, but in the past I've used "hand-made by" type stamps.

I don't sell my cards, but I ALWAYS use this incentive stamp I got from my demo when I first started SU! I put my initials and '08 on it (or the year I made it).

Absolutely you should sign your name on your cards! You need to get credit for all of your hard work! I use the SU set with the angel policy. Though I don't actually use the angel policy stamp because I rarely use SU stamps, I use the handmade by stamp. I like the idea of putting the date or year on your card, too.

Are you referring to the little easels? If so, they can be found with the picture frames at places like Michaels. They come in various sizes, and some are perfect for displaying cards.

I don't sell my cards, but, I always hand-sign 'em. I guess I'd use stickers or a stamp, if I did sell 'em, but, I always feel so happy signing the backs of my cards cuz it let's people now I really, really did make it myself!

I sign mine with Dyson's Designs and then the year on the back. I do have retired SU angel policy set, and a really cute clear set I got at archivers that have funny sayings about the card being hand made.

Every single one of them. Swap cards are real name, SCS name & date made; non swap are name & date.

I always sign the back of my cards. I had stamps made at the stationery store that say, "Handmade by Mary Ann" and "Handmade by Aunt Mary Ann." If I'm generating the inside sentiment on the computer, I generate the back the same way with the year. I don't sell my cards, so I don't worry about copyright issues.

I don't sell cards - at least not yet. I do have the SU copyright stamp if I ever do. I have "A SpeckMark Original" It has two kitties with the words underneath. I had a custom stamp made of it. I also have used it on clear labels to put my mark on the back. The words are a play on my name.

I have a simple logo that I print on the back of all my cards - from my PC. If the cardstock is too dark, I also have the same logo on a label. I do sell my cards, but I put my logo on all of them. I used to include the year, but if I don't give the card right away, I don't want the recipient to think it's old (like my nephew just did when I gave him a card I'd made in 1999! )

I have a little cat face stamp I found at the dollar store, then I sign my nickname "Cat". I never thought about putting the year on the card, but I will start doing that now.

I have a customizes polymer stamp that has my web address on it, so that's what I stamp on the back.

I, too, have a SU personalized stamp that I stamp on the back of each card ... then I initial it to make it my own "art". Sometimes I sign the name that the person I'm giving the card to may call me (i.e. T-Di for Aunti Di). You really don't need anything that's personalized. I think using one or two stamps as your signature is cool too.

I have a "hand stamped by Carol" and one that says "hand stamped by Grandma". Depending on who's getting them. But you should ALWAYS sign the back. I never sign the inside unless it's for DH or the 6 grandkids.

I had a stamp made at my office supply store that says "lovingly made by Paula" in my handwriting. And I started dating mine by the year this year. I don't sell mine so I don't worry about copywrite laws.

Other than Art by Design, what are the approved SU copyright stamps. I'm not seeing any other sets.
