Default Phew! All my acrylics are now in CD cases

and I had way more than I thought I did. Not tons but enough. Those little $1 stamps from Michaels really added up.

Next I'm going to start on the rubber stamps once I get the backing I ordered. But I have a question for those....for a stamp that's already been cut, do you just cut around the outline on the sticky part of the backing? Does it totally mess up your scissors? I ordered some tonic scissors for it. I'm unmounting a few of my rubber stamps and since they are already cut, I wasn't sure how people remounted and cut.

OK - I know I am in the MINORITY here but this is what I do.
I coat the inside of a CD case with Aileens's tack it over and over. I stick the bare rubber on there for storage. I do NOT add anything to it. When I'm ready to use, I use an acrylic block on which I have permanently fixed Tack N Peel. I have Tack N Peel on about 4 blocks of different sizes. This works well for me and is the least expensive and easiest way to clean everthing that I have found.

I've read on a thread somewhere in here NOT to leave your stamps on TIOAO because it becomes permanent..... just use them on your acylic blocks... i'm not sure which thread I read it in, but it made me very leary about doing so...

I mounted my rubber stamps on EZ Mount. Before cutting them out I cut down sections small enough to fit in one of the clear SU stamp boxes. I put the EZMount with the rubber mounted on it into the box and sprinkled it with baby powder. I closed the lid and shook it up to coat all the sticky areas with the powder. It leaves you with less of a gunky mess when cutting. Any adhesive that does get on your scissors can be cleaned with goo gone or a cleaning agent. I use Simple Green as stamp cleaner and that also worked to clean off the adhesive from my scissors when I was done.

Where did you find the CD cases to store them in? All the stores carry now are the slim cases, and I really need the standard size.

They also sell them at Office Depot but they were more expensive there. I actually just ordered some from Staples online because I needed other supplies. It's free shipping on $50 & over and I got next day delivery.

I've also had success using the method Javagirl mentioned, but recently I purchased a "hot knife" and that cuts through the EZMount like butter! It works great for stamps that are already cut down to size, as it doesn't cut through rubber.

No problems after 2 1/2 years of doing it. . .
