Just wondering...are acetate sheets the same as overhead transperancy sheets? I found the overhead sheets at Staples for the same price as I saw acetate sheets quoted on this site, but before I make that big a purchase I want to make sure they are the same...thanks
Yes, you can use them for the same projects but it seems to me the window sheets SU sells are much clearer. The transparency sheets seemed on the cloudy side. I use window sheets for shaker boxes & things that you need to see through. I use the transparency sheets for glitter windows since you are covering it up with Dazzling Diamonds anyway.
I was told that transparencies that are made to go through a computer printer are a little bit cloudy & they have to be printed on that rougher/slightly cloudy side. But, really cheap, old fashoined write - on transparencies, not recommended for a printer are crystal clear.
Does anyone have a good source for transparencies? I looked at Office Max and Staples and they only sell 110 sheets. I really don't think I need that many!
Kendra, I know...
110 sheets...
I broke down and bought them. What do you say about a simple trade? I could mail you 10 - 20 sheets, or more... however many you think you might need to get you started. And, you could trade with me any accessories you might have.... say ribbon, eyelets, wire, etc... email or pm me and we can discuss if you're interested.
I actually LIKE the transparency sheets that are meant to be printed on in the computer. I don't seem to have as much trouble with slipping stamps when I stamp on the "rough" side, and my finished product looks the same to me. Nobody at my stamp camps or demo camps have noticed at all either...the difference must be pretty subtle...
