I just use running warm water, liquid dish soap and my fingers to scrub. Then blot with a cotton towel and air dry. I do this each and every time I use it. I'll get more and longer use from it if I clean it after each session or if it's dirty with dark ink in the middle of a sesson.

i like to use one area for black only and one area for white only. the rest is for all other colors.
i like to clean mine before i go to bed that night so it has time to dry. i don't clean it every time i stamp. i'd hate to think i would be wearing it out before its time!

I have been thinking about doing the same thing, and using my older set for the brilliance and hybrid inks, keeping them off my dye ink scrubber. I found that when I combine the inks onto one scrubber cleaner, the brilliance or hybrid inks get transferred onto the next stamps I am trying to clean.

wash with liquid dish soap and rinse until water runs clear, I use the side of my hand like a squeegy to push out most of the water and then I lean against the sink on a paper towel to dry. I have two sets and love having the ability to rotate. I've been afraid of putting it in the diswasher, and now I won't try it.

I tried the dishwasher thing and it warped my first ones. If you choose to use the dishwasher I suggest removing it before the dry cycle.
Same for me with the dishwasher. I read here that I could do it, but I don't know how these people did it.
I now do the dish soap and warm water. I try to remember to do it last thing in at night. I just use my hands to scrub it, rinse well, and leave it in my dish rack overnight. Then it is ready for use again the next day!
I wash mine under the faucet - warm (not hot) water. Then I use a sponge to remove most of the water and let air dry. It dries much faster if you can remove the excess water before drying.
I too use liquid dishwashing soap, but I remove the pads from the holder, and with one in each hand, I rub them together to clean both pads at once. Set in dish tray to dry and you're good to go!
How I clean mine depends on how dirty it is!! (Sometimes, it's REALLY bad)
Anyway... I use Simple green, too, but if it's really dirty, I scrub it with one of those dish brushes that IKEA sells, (that has the little suction cup on the bottom), and scrub away. I've also used a bit of Comet or something like that if it's really dirty. (like after a fundraiser or something where I've had 50 people using it)
Then I just run warm water over it till it runs clear.
Oh, and Simple Green is great for getting Staz-on off your stamps, too... I have an old washcloth that I use, and I fold it up like a scrubber, and spray a diluted solution on it, then I clean it with the regular stamp cleaner after, to condition it.
I have 8 sets of pads and when they are all dirty I put mine in the dishwasher. I use the top shelf only and turn off the heated dry. I have done this and used the washing machine on gentle cycle with cold water only. I have not had any problems with my pads getting warped or anything. I keep buying more because I hate to have to wash the ones I have...lol.

My DH washes my pads. I should just rinse them out every time. I have about 5 of them. Instead I wait until they really need it. He soaks them in Oxy Clean & then puts them out to dry. I'm pretty sure that's what he does. He's such a gr8 guy!
I just rinse w/ water, too. I keep the "clean" pad on it's labeled side and the "dry" pad on it's labeled side. If I mix them up when rinsing, I can tell which is which by smelling them.

I'll have to give the baby shampoo a try. I had noticed the ink coming off my hands in the shower too, but I didn't apply that idea to cleaning my scrub. Thanks for the tip!:-D

One way to not have to clean your pad quite so often is to stamp off on scrap paper before cleaning the stamp. It removes quite a bit of ink that would otherwise end up on your pad.

I normally just use dish soap, water and a scrub brush. If it's really bad I'll spray greased lightning on first.
I put mine in the dishwasher way back and it warped it even without the dry cycle. It also frayed the edges of my pads and peeled them up a little in some areas. I definitely don't recommend it.
mine gets SOOO super ditry that I clean it with a dish soap type of liquid soap and THEN let it soak in diluted bleach water overnight and let it airdry... I have been doing it this way for a while and it works great! just when you think it is clean... put it in the bleach water... it will amaze you how much ink is left in there... especially if you use versamark alot like i do... it is sooo sticky!
