tea bag sayings please
Women are like teabags. We don't know our true strength until we are in hot water! Eleanor Roosevelt
this is the correct saying..
I am also looking for more sayings for tea cards and misc.
TIA,
Sonia

Here's a few I've saved on my PC:
On Christmas Eve,
At Half Past Three
Brew Yourself
A Cup Of Tea.
I'll Think Of You,
You Think Of Me,
Sitting Beside
The Christmas Tree.
May your life always
be like a pot of tea
overflowing to warm the soul.
Come and share
A pot of tea,
My home is warm,
And my friendship free.
A little cup of Friendship
In this cup of tea,
When you sit and drink it,
Think of Love from me.
A little cup of Friendship
With a bag of tea
When you relax and drink this
Remember it brings love from me.
A cup of tea warms the
soul like a good friend.
May your days be
Steeped with Joy
And warmed with Love.

tea bag
Hi I have one stamp that says:
Tea pot is on, the cups are waiting,
favorite chairs anticipating;
No matter what I have to do,
my friend, there's always time for you.

a poem & some links
Excellent request!
Here's one
I wish we could sit together
And drink a cup of tea.
But since we can't,
When you have this one,
I hope you'll think of me!
I hope we find more!
Oh, and that last link has a great idea to add to a gift set!
Candy Tea Stirrers - Vegetable cooking spray
- 34 pieces fruit flavored hard candy, crushed
- 2 Tablespoons light corn syrup
- Heavyweight plastic spoons
Line a jelly roll pan with wax paper; spray with cooking spray.
In a small heavy pan, combine crushed candies and corn syrup.
Cook over low heat until candies melt. Spoon candy into bowl of each spoon.
Place on wax paper with handles on rim of jelly roll pan to level spoons.
Allow to harden. Store in an airtight container.
Makes 24 spoons.

I found this one and used it to make some tea bag holders over the weekend, it's attributed to anon. I think it's great for a general "thinking of you" type thing.
When your day seems topsy turvey
And as stormy as can be
There's nothing quite as tranquil
As a nice hot cup of tea
While you savor this ambrosia
Your problems fade away
Its warmth will bring you comfort
And brighten up your day
So take a private moment
There's a calmness as you'll see
All because you briefly stopped
To sip a cup of tea.

WOW these are too cool. TFS
I don't have much to share...I do tea bag holders for agape gifts (for Emmaus Walks). I always put a different saying on them.
Here's the three I have used so far:
Is Your Cup Full?
Does your cup runneth over?
Let Jesus warm your heart.
I sometimes add a bible verse.

Tea Time cards are a wonderful idea. Thanks Avonlea for sharing the great tea links. These will be just the right cards for cheering friends on cold winter days. A wonderful after-Christmas project for me.

Here's some I was playing around with one day:
Through thick and thin it's plain to see
you'll always be a friend to me.
Though near or far I hope that we
will find some time to share some tea.
Day in and out I strive to be the kind of (mother, sister, friend, aunt cousin ...) you've been to me.
So let's pretend you're here with me and sit right down to have some tea.
-- and a variation of the original Christmas one --
On Christmas day (Easter, Mother's Day ...) at half past three,
have yourself a cup of tea.
At that time I will be, remembering (what you mean to me (all you've done for me).

This has nothing to do with tea, but the candy spoons mention above.
Melt dark chocolate in a double boiler and dripple into plastic spoons, they make for great chocolate coffee stir spoons! YUMMMMM

I have drunk tea brewed by the women who picked it
At the end of their day and the start of my night.
I have drunk tea after birth and it tasted like nectar.
I have had tea with milk, sugar, jasmine and Mary.
I have drunk Ceylon in Ceylon, and Darjeeling in Darjeeling.
I have had it green, black, white, red and golden.
I have drunk it from porcelain, bamboo and clay.
I have cried into it and had my future read from it.
I have drunk it when I haven’t wanted it, and when I’m desperate for one.
I’ve drunk it with Russian sailors, Shivas, divas, grandmothers, vicars, lovers, friends.
In my dreams I’ve had a nice cup of tea with the Queen, Attilla the Hun, Elvis, Nelson Mandela.
I’ve had it hot, iced and spiced.
I’ve drunk it in the air, up a mountain, on an elephant, in a train, and tea at sea.
Tea, tea, tea, will you share a cup with me?

Some time ago I made some tea bag ATCs to send to ladies hosting ATC swaps I was in. I folded a sort of jacket to go around a Tea bag that was ATC size and put the bag in. On a tag that slipped in the other side I wrote the following poem. It's like the Christmas Tree one just with a slight change.
On Thursday week
At half past three
Let's sit and have a cup of tea.
I'll think of you...
You think of me
Getting acquainted through our ATC.
