Retiring SU Stamp Sets - which one did you purchase in a last moment of panic?
For me , it was Artfully Asian! I have looked at that set for years now, but when I realized.. sjust today! - that it was retiring June 30th - I called my demo today! I really agonzied over purchasing a particular mini catty set too - ach - can't remember the name now.. but I just purchased Artfully Asian.
How about you?? Any last minute orders?

I thought things were staying current until end of July? :o
I want Amazing to Zany and may order that before it's gone...if it's there through July. Otherwise, guess I can live without it.

There's no need to panic about the retirement list -- yet! While the occasions mini and all the products in it will expire at the end of June, the stamp sets on the retirement list will be available through August 10. Then we can start ordering from the new fall-winter catalog on August 11.

Only one I "had" to get was Lower Case Monogram H. DD is still into monograms and we are making some cool notebooks right now.

I got Happy Camper. I'll probably never use it, but I like knowing I have it just in case...

You won't regret Artfully Asian OR Live Your Dreams!!! I have both and I am not parting with either of them, although I usually sell everything that retires because I'm a business demo. My only regret is not getting Artfully Asian earlier (when it first came out) so that I could have had more active demo'ing time with it. That'll teach me to delay gratification, LOL!

Greetings Galore. I am also eyeing Artfully Asian. I have to think about that one. I have stamps that are really similar and I would rather spend the money on something new.

I ordered Noble Deer a couple weeks before the list actually came out, so that really doesn't count. Everything else on the list that I don't already have I decided I could live without.

You might well be right!! I guess my demo sent out the list of retiring items and I assumed it was June 30.. sorry to panic anybody.. My mistake!! I haven't looked it up.. but I think that you are correct!! Sorry about that!!

Aracnaphobia Wheel & Illuminations
I had to get the Aracnaphobia wheel, my DH loves spiders so I know it will come in handy when making cards for him. I was on the fence about Illuminations & Batty for You. I opted to go with Illuminations and WRAK the Batty for You. Too many hard decisions and just not enough money!! You all have me thinking now, I am going to have to go back and look at the sets you listed!

I dunno, I've seen some pretty cool cards made with Peaceful Wishes. It seems pretty versatile......

The sets you listed are not on the retired list. the only sets on the dormant list that are retiring ar Glad Tidings and Snowfall. Since they are not retiring they will probably be in the Fall/Winter catty. So you may be able to get them all after all. HTH.

I'm really on the fence about Happy Camper and Touch of Nature. I don't think I'll order them, though, because I usually just find something new I want more.

So if those 2 are the only ones on the dormant list that are retiring, I can probably wait to get Thoroughly Thankful--right? Hope so cuz my list is kind of long and I could get Artfully Asian if I don't have to get TT. I was thinking that I might not get AA because Embrace Life has almost the same feel to it!

The Weathered BG. I have been admiring lots of cards in the gallery made with it, and had to have it before it was gone!
I'm hosting July's stamp club with my SU demo and we're having a "retirement party." I got paper plates/napkins that say "Happy Retirement" and the two projects we're doing are using retiring in colors and retiring stamp sets. I'm hoping it will inspire everyone to make extra last minute purchases for my workshop!

I just got Touch of Nature, right before the list came out, actually. I am so glad I did. It is by far the best set I have bought to date. Noble deer and Happy Camper are tempting, but I am waiting for the new catty to spend more $ on stamps.

The snowflake spot. I had been borrowing a set whenever I need it, but now that its on its way out I must have my own set! Although I traded for my set instead of purchasing it.

Hmm, I have highlighted a few on the list: Peaceful Wishes, Noble Deer, Touch of Nature, Print Pattern, and Amazing to Zany.
I'll most likely get Amazing to Zany. Nice to have some extra time to mull over the others, but I can probably live without them! ;)

Happy Camper and So Cool. I know So Cool is on the dormant list, but I should have ordered it right away as I live in a house full of boys (and a man who acts like a boy!).

I have been on fence about Peaceful Wishes and I just ordered it. I keep all my holiday stamps and I know that I would end up wishing I had gotten it at some point.

French Flair (I had recently purchased the matching set), Noble Deer and Labelicious (I think this one will be rare as it was only in the catty so briefly!) I am on the fence about Artfully Asian, I want it but have so many other Asian sets I rarely use! I might try to pick up that one later, though!
I really want Snowflake spot, too but as I have decided not to make my Christmas cards again for awhile (I send out way more than 100), I felt I didn't really need it!

I go through this each year. I tell myself that if I don't have them by now then I'm not meant to have them. Then occasionally I'll run across a set (Fishy Friends) that I really wish I would have bought and will kick myself every time I see it or even a part of it. I'm not sure which set will retire that I'll wish I would have purchased this year but I can guarantee that once its gone it I'll know it. And once its no longer available then it will appeal to me.

Carte Postale. I had it, traded it, thought I had other stamps to "fill in" for it, and could resist it no longer. It's a keeper now!
It is nice to know that with SCS, none of the sets are really gone forever, you know ;)
