Exclamation Watercolor Tip Sheet

I've been seeing so many different watercolor techniques that I decided to create a cheat sheet for myself. It has 24 blocks on it. The top 12 blocks are for types of paper to use. The bottom 12 blocks are for specific techniques. I've attached the Word document blank with a brief list of those 12 techniques (basically there're just variations of the same thing ... it just depends on in what order and on what water is applied).

I'll be making four of these so I'll see how watercolor crayons, watercolor pencils, markers, and ink pads look on the various papers and using the various techniques.

Also, don't forget there are several methods for actually applying the water to the rubber and/or paper ... wet paintbrush or aqua painter, damp sponge (in my opinion this method gives the most control over the amount of water), or spritzing from a fine-mist water bottle (like from an empty Stampin' Mist bottle or travel-size hair spray bottle or Ranger sells a wonderful fine-mist spray bottle).

I hope this is something that helps you too.

This is SO helpful to me...I feel like I am watercolor challenged sometimes, especially with the crayons. I need to practice. THANKS!

Cool

I need this! I went to bed SAD last night because my one hour of playing with watercolors seemed so disastrous! Everything just looked blah...wondered what I did wrong. Got up early to try again (checking here first, of course) and wah-lah! But, the chart is empty of any colors when I click on the document link. Help?!!!!

Thanks for the list.

I think it is blank so you can stamp it yourself.

Thank you thank you thank you. I am a new Demo and this will help both me and my ladies! Before I jumped to the demo side we were all part of the same club and we bought these for a workshop, but since then, they have stayed dry. I am excited to get us back into the wet!
