What do you guys do with your scanned files? I was organizing mine into sets (by folders in My Computer), but don't know if I really want to keep them all on my computer since I have them here. I could put them all on to a disc since I have a burner....
What do you guys do?
This is killing me... HELP! Respond soon!
I keep them on folders on the computer and make a backup disk. If I put them on disk alone I'm the kind of person that would lose the disk and I save stuff daily so I would be making disks all the time. It is more likely that I will lose the disk than my computer crashing so I keep them on the computer and make a disk every month or so. If the computer crashes at least I'll have the majority of my samples saved.
I still have oodles of hard drive space available so haven't moved any to a cd yet. I still keep them in a folder - two folders actually, the original scan and the one from Picture It that makes them 1/4 size for the website. But putting them on a cd is a great idea for safeguarding them in the event of a crash. Oh, hope I didn't jinx myself!
I dump all my scans after I upload them. I don't make duplicates, either. Once I've done a card, I don't like making it again, so I have no need of the images.
