I always find the creative process when designing a masculine card the most challenging of all the creating I do. Choosing appropriate color schemes, imagines and layouts can be a struggle. Because I know there are so many of you out there making your cards today or tomorrow ,or for the overachievers in the community who got their cards done last month, I would love to see your take on a Father's Day card. Share your secret to a great masculine card!
This is my father's day card. It is very simple, but because it is for my father I didn't want to use embellishments, because I don't have anything nice for a man. I used the dog stamp from Penny Black. I thought he was perfect with his tie.
Great cards!! I always struggle a bit with masculine cards - I love that stamp companies are coming out with some great "masculine" stamps recently!! Here's mine...

Nice card -- simple -- that's exactly what I was thinking before I read the rest of your post ;)

happy heart.. great cards, especially that lawnmower one.
I might have to look for that stamp.. I'd like to stamp it inside a circle with a slash through it.

My father has been gone for almost nine years now; my father in law a year longer than that. So, the only card I needed to make was for my husband, the father of my two wonderful children.
To Happy Heart: You continue to amaze me -- I love all of your cards!! And if my camera hadn't "lost" the photo somehow, I'd love to upload the one for my Dad :(
It's great! Don't hesitate to post your work. Lord knows I have a long way to go! II think of it as posting your pictures on the fridge. It's just a REALLY big fridge that everyone can see! ;)
Here is mine! I had to make a quick one, as that I have been very busy. I hope you like it. The butterfly is embossed using black powder and is on there with pop dots.

For my Dad: WSC51 - Coffee Riley Moose by rsalamon at Splitcoaststampers I don't have any stamps that say Happy Father's Day so I printed it out on the computer then put the card together. I was too lazy to do it again for the second card, lol.

That is just too darn funny! DH and I look just like that - only I don't have a recliner. I send him email sometimes with links rather than just telling him a url to look at.
Back to topic. Here is my Father's Day card that I made for DH. We don't have children together, but I've watched him over the years being a great dad to his sons.
