Post Your Father's Day Cards HERE!
I always find the creative process when designing a masculine card the most challenging of all the creating I do. Choosing appropriate color schemes, imagines and layouts can be a struggle. Because I know there are so many of you out there making your cards today or tomorrow ,or for the overachievers in the community who got their cards done last month, I would love to see your take on a Father's Day card. Share your secret to a great masculine card!
Post it in this thread.

This is my father's day card. It is very simple, but because it is for my father I didn't want to use embellishments, because I don't have anything nice for a man. I used the dog stamp from Penny Black. I thought he was perfect with his tie.

Great cards!! I always struggle a bit with masculine cards - I love that stamp companies are coming out with some great "masculine" stamps recently!! Here's mine...

This is funny, we have wireless at our house so right now dh and I are in our recliners in our livingroom, both of us on our laptops .. he is oblivious that his fathers day card is being sent through the air waves because he is busy looking at ......PICKUPS .. ha

happy heart.. great cards, especially that lawnmower one.
I might have to look for that stamp.. I'd like to stamp it inside a circle with a slash through it.

My father has been gone for almost nine years now; my father in law a year longer than that. So, the only card I needed to make was for my husband, the father of my two wonderful children.

I made 4 cards like this one. One for my dh, one for my son, one for my son-in-law and one for my step-son.
They are guys of course, and don't really care about cards, but I know their wives will appreciate them!

All of your creations look great. The Dads out there sure are going to love them all.
My card for my Dad is not so masculine looking, but it is meaningful:

Here is mine! I had to make a quick one, as that I have been very busy. I hope you like it. The butterfly is embossed using black powder and is on there with pop dots.

That is just too darn funny! DH and I look just like that - only I don't have a recliner. I send him email sometimes with links rather than just telling him a url to look at.
Back to topic. Here is my Father's Day card that I made for DH. We don't have children together, but I've watched him over the years being a great dad to his sons.
