I am REALLY thinking about getting one......but because of having to try to save money where ever I can I also want to find the best deal out there....Any Ideas where I should buy mine? Also how do you like it?
Thanks for all your help in advance you all are great!
I just love mine. I got it from Custom Crops . it was 39 with free shipping. It was the cheapest total price I found. I have downloaded from the Scor-Pal site a bunch of projects to try. I did make a multi-folded birthday card with it that turned out great. I really love it. It makes making cards so much easier. I'm going to try a box next. Hope this helps.

I just ordered mine from Custom Crops too. Haven't gotten it yet because...I ordered it yesterday. LOL. But it was the cheapest that I found too. I know some people have Archivers near them and I heard you can get a coupon for it there.
Anyways - yep, no tax and free shipping so it was 39.99 period.
I don't know if you have an Archiver's or other LSS that carry them and might have a coupon. I got mine with an Archiver's 30% off coupon ... $28.00 !!

Love it! I especially love the diagonally scored background you can make with it so easily as shown by Debbie Olsen on her blog. There is SO much you can do with it. I also love love love to make my own custom envies, and it is so easy with Scor-Pal. I held off buying it for a long time because I (gulp) felt like I was buying too much stamp-y stuff, as the family calls it! But my hubby said he thought I NEEDED it so I got it and don't regret it at all! Isn't he sweet?
This is one tool I have never regretted buying. I had the Cricut with all the extra's and returned all of it, just didn't like it. Now I have the CAD II, don't like it, I will probably be selling it. Bought a Rollagraph, didn't like it.
After saying that I bought the Scor-pal I use it all the time. With all of the nice things you can make with it, it is worth the money. The best thing for me is how easy it is to use. Also, they keep coming up with new things to make so I know I won't get tired of it. JMHO, but, if you buy one I don't think you would regret it.

The Score Pal is fantastic, way better than Score It in my opinion. It seems expensive for what is basically a large piece of plastic but once you have it, you won't think that. It's very sturdy, your scoring tool is always right there, and I hear that the tape they sell is really great too!
I got mine directly through Scor Pal from Diana. She lives here in Washington state and it didn't cost any more than if I had ordered from some other company, plus I had it within two days after I placed my order. I love it and am still trying out new different scoring ways on my cards.

I got mine at Archivers with a coupon ($2 and I love it! It makes wonderful score lines and even my kids are excited about using it. It's super easy and makes making boxes, envelopes, etc a breeze. I also joined the Yahool listserv for Scor-pal and there are ton of templates on there and even the inventor (Diana Crick?) comes on and shares ideas.

I just got one today at the Archiver's at the Mall of America with coupon...
Where do you get the Archiver coupons? There is an Archivers in the next town over from me & I have been in that store a few times, but have never seen coupons.
thanks
Just got mine from 7kidscollegefund.com for $31.99 plus S/H. Got it out yesterday and was I disappointed. I thought this thing would have markings to score various measurements. Well, I needed to score a pice of 12x12 at 4 1/4 and at 8 3/4". The first measurement was no problem, but there are no markings for anything other than 1 inch and 1/2 inch lines from 4 1/2" on. Had to pick up the paper and use my cutter to score the other line. This is what I thought the thing was made to do. Big waste of $.
The 1/4 and 1/8 settings are on the side and very easy to use....go to the Scor-pal website and they have a tutorial that shows all of that. It is a wonderful tool and very easy to use. Hope you can find this little tutorial ...if not, let me know. Suzanne
I did break down and I bought mine from a local stamp store in the next town over. they had it for 36.99 + tax and I got to walk out with it in my greedy little hands. That was trhe best deal I could find that also offered instant gratification Honestly havn't really spent the quality time with it that it deserves and it does take some practice but I am happy with my purchase! Thanks for your tips and happy scoring ;)

If you are on their mailing list, the coupons are on their flyers that they mail out. HTH!
I use mine every single day. It has a prominent place in my scrap room for easy access. Diana Crick at Scor-Pal is one of the nicest people you will ever deal with. Her products are top notch!
Blessings.
I LOVE my Scor-Pal! I make so many more cards now. They take alot less time to make. I got mine from Christmas from my son and daughter-in-law and I think they ordered it directly from Scor-Pal. Visit the Scor-Pal website for lots of ideas too!

Go to Archiver's and they ask for your address and info. They will send you coupons in the mail and some e-mails...
I adore my Scor-Pal! My friend (who won't buy any stamping stuff b/c of space) went right out and bought one too after using mine. Wish SU sold it. Scor-Pal wouldn't know what hit them with all the orders.
I love mine, I use it almost every time I make a card! Have only tried a few techniques, the grid, and use it to score the fold on my cards. When I made the 17 double pocket bags for the church, it made the project a snap.

My DH got me the whole Scor-Pal pkg. for our anniversary. So I also got the tote and the tape. I just love the Scor-Pal. I have used it mostly for making cards, but with the Scor-Pal it makes such a professional fold. Diana is just the best to deal with.
I to bought the score-pal got it home and didn't like it. Tryied it more than once and just keep getting lost with all those lines, sold it to a friend that loves it and I bought the Score-it. It was love at first score, I can score lines where ever I want them and they are in the right place. I would go to a store that has both in their crop room and try them out, then you will get the one that is ment for you.

I agree that Diana a nice person and very willing to help when needed. I, too, use my Scor-pal everyday that I stamp. It stands upright on one of my tables and ready for quick access.
I love love love my Scor-Pal but have not been thrilled with the scoring tool. I switched to the SU scoring tool and all is well with the world. Seems to make a crisper line and I just like it better.

Really? I thought she was in Canada....
I have one, also bought it from Diana~ *waving* Hi Diana!! I would definitely by directly from Scor-Pal and support the member forums here.
I use my old Fiskars cutter, with the scoring blade to score. It is very easy and I don't have to follow the grid. Has anyone compared the two? I would love to hear reasons I need to switch.
Cindy,
I am having the exact same thoughts about the fiskars w scoring blade vs scor pal. I watched a video on You tube last night and my thought is - you have to hold the paper w your hand to score, rather than to just slap the clear ruler on fiskars over the paper..... hmmmm

I went to the Scor Pal web site, emailed Diana about the Scor Pal, gave her my address and payment information and she shipped it from a town here in Washington. So, I just assumed she lives in Washington state.

Here are the reasons I switched:
With the Fiskars, I tended to press harder than I should have and frequently ended up cutting my cardstock instead of scoring it.
With the Fiskars I used, the 4.25" mark wasn't really marked - it was kind of at the edge of the platform just before the ruler arm swung out. I hardly ever managed to score so that the card folded evenly.
I also had challenges with the Fiskars blade kind of curving thru the score instead of a nice straight line.
With the Scor-Pal, I can lay my sheet of cardstock on the platform and score for a 2-4-6-8 box without moving the paper. It also has marks for scoring an 11" wide sheet of paper exactly in thirds - again, without having to move the paper. The scores are always straight, and I haven't torn thru on a score yet - even when I was just messing around with regular copy paper.
What really sold me on the Scor-Pal, though, was the ability to use it to emboss decorative lines and grids on my cards. I tried that with my Fiskars - both with the scoring blade and with a bone folder sliding thru the blade track, and it just doesn't work well for that.
Honestly, when I first heard about the Scor-Pal, my feeling was that the last thing I needed was another $40 tool - especially one that I couldn't get with a coupon at Michael's or Joann's. But it is so worth it.
Bought a Scor it. Dont have Scor pal in Australia (well have not seen one).
At first I thought why spend all that money just to score a fold in a card. Then a saw the tutorial for grid cards. What I love to use it for now is those cute little boxes you make to keep 3x3 cards in. I am making a set of thankyou notes and also one for a friend expecting a baby girl. Very quick and easy to use.
Before I bought my Score Pal I thought, do I really need to spend money on this? However, I broke down and bought one, and let me tell you it was well worth the money. I love my Score Pal. Don't know what I would do without it now!

I bought a scor pal cause everyone said they were all the rage...but honestly, I think you can live without it. $40.00 is a lot to spend on a piece of plastic, and a ruler and bone folder will do the same job. Don't waste your money.
I gave my sons' an Archiver's coupon and a picture of the Scor Pal I wanted for my July birthday. Hey, nothing wrong with being "surprised" with something I really want.
