The bleach pens have a thick end and a finer tip, so we thought it would be a great idea to use the wider end to apply bleach to a stamp like Wonderful Words, or use to make oyur own swirly background designs and whatnot!!! My friend ItsStampinGirl told me she picked one up today and was playing with it!!!
Find them in the laundry section of the market!

I bought some of these pens a few months ago for that very purpose, but never got around to playing with them :? Maybe if I wasn't on SCS all the time I'd do more stamping?
Ahhh - that's just crazy talk. If I wasn't on SCS I'd be doing chores or something!
used it but what came out was a glob of thick bleach.. wow and the smell..
and that's the fine tip end. then i used the wider end with the brush.. cuz i had to smear my big glob that one actually worked great with making swirlies with a brush effect. let me know if someone has better luck with these things
I bought one to use for stamping too, but the bleach comes out in a gel. I ended up putting mine in the laundry room. If anyone has some great stamping uses, let us know.

Yeah, I got one awhile ago too and I can't say that I was all that impressed with it. Mine is also now in the laundry room.. go figure. LOL So if anyone has success working with these let me know. I want to practice the bleach technique... I have already wrecked a pair of pants with liquid bleach.. yeah. I am a bit of a klutz or at the very least a very disorganized stamper. lol
I bought a bleach pen and used it the other night - first on my counter and then on my stamps!!
I used the wide end and smeared it over one of the painted garden stamps. It wasn't a perfect image, but I thought it came out pretty well. (You can see it in my gallery).
I've never used liquid bleach - I'm a little afraid of it! But for my first time, I thought the pen was decent...
With all this talk about bleach pens, tell me...I've been wondering for a long while if you could put a bleach solution in the aqua-painter. Would that ruin it? Has there been any discussion like that on the boards? I'm really hesitant to try it, but it seems like it would work! :?
I have had these pens for a while. Tried them with my stamps and OY what a mess. Because you have to apply them rather than just dipping your stamp onto a paper towle, bleach goes everywhere and leaves little spots on your clothes if you aren't careful. I also got blobs where the bleach had pooled. I thought they were great until I tried liquid with a paper towel. Just remember, wear a lot of white when you use these.
I was afraid of the bleach too, but I tried it and I loved it ~ liquid that is. I made some cool swap cards with it.
I've used the bleach pens in the past. I never used them directly on the stamp.... I use the pen to color (whiten) the image that I stamped on dark paper, so later I color it in with actual color. I hope that makes sense....
Now I just use the Clorox Advantage (thick, but not gel) to stamp and use to color in images. I have control on how much bleach to apply.
I have a special water brush pen marked just for my bleach. I don't use it very often, but it works great for what I want it to do! I haven't had any problem with the bristles, but I do wash out the bristles before storing it, and store it with the barrel down, so no bleach is on the tip. Hope this helps!

I've used the wide end of the bleach pen, and I like it. I've used it directly on the stamp to do the outline of two-step stamping images. However, the bleach does pool, so you have to be careful, or you will get blobs. Also, it does not bleach out some colors very well. So I'd test it on scrap paper first.

I'm one of those fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kind of stampers ;) I keep a bleach pen handy in my stamp room. I know that if I kept a bottle of bleach there'd be a HUGE accident. But if I need a little something bleached, I squirt the gel pen on my stamp, spread it with my fingertips (yes, really!) and then stamp off 1-2 times. Works well for me! Now, if I needed to bleach a *lot*, then I'd come downstairs to the kitchen. But for just one or two little things, the pen works ;)
And, no, I don't really worry about my hands on the bleach. I keep a tub of baby wipes to clean it off, so I'm chained to my stamp room
I tried it the other night per my DH suggestion and I got way to much on the stamp and it turned out awful. I think I will stick with my bleach in the paper towel. I'm less likely to get it on my clothes as well.
i tried to draw directly on the paper with the bleach pen and then when it dried the "gel" was still there and flaked off.......not too impressed, but it did get the caulking nice and clean in my tub ;) lol
Last night I filled a dried out blender pen with bleach from the laundry room. (It was very stressful as I was still wearing my nice work clothes.) This worked pretty well, but when I do it again, I will pour a little bleach in a small container and just dip the bleach-designated blender pen into that.
