Default Cake-shaped card?

I really want to make a card shaped like a three-tiered cake...I can't seem to find a template for it! Does anyone have an example or a link to a template? I only seem to be able to find cake box templates. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nancy

This card is not cake-shaped, but it does have an adorable idea for how to make a cake using a piece of cuttlebugged cardstock:

I couldn't find any templates for a tiered cake, but I did find some sites that sell templates. If nothing else, there are pictures at the following sites that could provide inspiration.

http://www.toptoppershop.co.uk/stenc...ake-3592-p.asp

http://shirleysdesigns.webs.com/temp...ocutbyhand.htm --scroll about halfway down the page and there are 2 cakes.

Check out these cards from the gallery:

I have found some great books at the library. One book had lots of pop-up cards, sort of like these and these.
If you have enough time, the library might be a good resource.

(Scroll down a little to the card called "Wedding Cake Topper")

I love all these ideas! Boy, we have some talented people here!
Now, someone needs to get married so I can make one of these cards for them, LOL!

I love the piece of cake boxes! Here is a link to a free template from Victorine Originals: http://www.victorineoriginals.com/im...terns/0002.pdf

And another from Mirkwood Designs: http://www.ruthannzaroff.com/mirkwoo...es/cakebox.gif

have you tried making your own template - to me it looks quite straight forward, decide your final size and I would presume the fold at the top.

However to make the template I would play with rectangles in varying sizes with corners rounded. - though unless you are going to get specialist sized paper/cardstock the largest card you can make is 6inches tall.

Top layer will measure 2x2
Middle layer measure 3x2
Bottom layer measure 4x2

Sorry, tried to make this a thumbnail and haven't worked out if I can/how to do it!

Happy Birthday Cake Card by annieht at Splitcoaststampers

Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

These are two of my favorite cake shaped cards that I have seen. The first creator has a template on her blog. The second one I am not sure how it is made, but isn't it cool?

Hi, I made the second cake. I freehand drew the cake from an image I saw on the internet and transferred it on to a folded card which I then cut out. I then hand cut the individual layers from Bazzill cardstock and Making Memories patterned paper. I am sorry but I don't have a template, otherwise I would share it with you. It was very time consuming but fun to make.
