Hello! I am proud to say that I own all 48 SU! classic stamp pads. HOWEVER, I own Earth Elements and Rich Regals in the old size and style but I have Bold Brights and Soft Subtles in the new size and style pad. What I'm looking for is ideas for storage that would accomodate both sizes.
I'm actually looking for something that I could mount on my wall but haven't found anything. I'm also looking for something fairly inexpensive.
I bought the DVD holders from IKEA for $5, I mounted them on the wall and they hold the new size of ink pads. I don't know if they hold the old style. I tried to attach a picture, hopefully it is on here!
This is the cassette holder from walmart that I use. Sorry that it is a sideways picture, if I change it I can't upload it (too big). Holds all 48 classic and 48 craft pads.
I just went to the IKEA store here in San Diego and got them. I did find them online before I went. Let me see if I can find the link and I will post it.
I can't find them online either!!! :( I don't even remember what they are called, there is no name on them. Maybe if you just go to the store (if you have one near you) they will have them. They have cd and dvd ones, so make sure you get the dvd ones or they won't work. And they were exactly $5 a piece. I hope you can find them - I love them! Good luck!
I love Ikea's marketplace. Ours will be opening in November.
Can't wait.
I love that idea of the racks on the wall. I am going to see if my husband can adapt to something else.
Also, if someone wants these after my Ikea opens I will be happy to help out.

for the cassette holder from walmart - do you have any of the old style pads? I have some of each. do you know if the old style will fit? that looks great and holds SO MANY!!
Well I just got back from my walmart looking for both the cassette holder and the pastel sharpies, and they had neither! :( I guess i'll keep looking!
try staples for the pastel sharpies. at the store here they were in one of those cardboard disply shelf thingies so you might need to ask where they are.
I have the same holder as "spoiled stamper". It's a Fellows audio tape holder. I bought mine over a year ago in a Walmart in Illinois. I haven't looked recently if they have them here (Texas) too.
I hope that helps a bit. Have a great day.
Hugs and smiles.
I use the "nuts and bolts" organizers from Menards---
It mounts to the wall, (or stands independently on the table)
It holds the new and old stamp pads!!
AND ITS INEXPENSIVE
It has worked great for me---I use them too to hold embellishments, etc. If you would like to see a picture, please take a look at my gallery as I posted them quite some time ago
Spoiled Stamper and Beate, how well does the holder "hold" on to the ink pads? When you spin it, do the pads shift around in it? I am really needing something like this and I want to make sure it is compatible with the new SU ink pads. Also, do you know if it will hold a versamark pad or maybe the Encore mettalic pads?
Thanks for any info you can give me, I am headed tomorrow to Walmart to see if it is available here.
I was looking at the Fellowes website and the cassette holder looks different than the one in this thread (taller with a different bottom). I didn't even know that they still made cassette holders!
Have others found that pretty much any cassette holder fits our pads? I thought our pads looked larger than a cassette. I want to get one of these, but I also want to make sure they fit! I just can't spend the $ on a fancy holder made just for pads right now, but I desperately need a holder!

I think it is the same one on the website, but in the picture in this thread I don't think she had the rack completely filled at the bottom, which is why the base looked different. Also cassettes are smaller than ink pads, which is why I think the one at Fellowes looks taller. The ink pads make it look thicker than cassettes. Does that make sense?

thanks for your explanation and observant eye! I see now what you are saying and it does make sense! I think I will have to make a trip to Walmart today! (As much as I despise that store, I can't pass up something like this!)
yesterday, I spent 5 hours looking for this stupid stand! I went to every office store, music meagstore, discount store, etc in a 20 mile radius! No luck! I ended up ordering off of the website and a spliting headache!!
If walmart does not have it-take my advice and order on line!!

Sounds like it was a pain in the butt. I'd say get it from the website anyway, because with shipping it's still cheaper than at Walmart, unless you're one of those instant gratification type people and don't want to wait a week for it to get to you.
I am into instant gratification!! I did order it though.. I have a plastic container for cassette tapes and just tried one of the old pads in it and it does not fit! I have about 1/2 new and 1/2 old! I am really bumming now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! susie
I have worked at Wal-mart for almost 4 years. Just a little info of how Wal-mart works. About every 6 months corp. offices send new "mods" down. Mods are the blue print of what is to be put where on the shelves. Depending on the size of your store will depend on what your store has. The SuperCenters have more space than a"division one" store (no groceries). The metro supercenters have more stuff than a Neighborhood Market, but are smaller than a regular supercenter. Also before new mods drop in the computers, corp closes out slower selling items to have room for new items. So I guess my suggestion is check out all the Wal-marts in your area, to get to know which stores have what. The item number listed is to short be a Wal-mart item #. There's are 6 to 7 numbers long not 5. I regularly shop at 3 differant Wal-marts all the time. I very seldomly shop anywhere else.
Ikea also has one, I believe, that will house the re-inkers but the cost is quite high. SUP! would be wise to put the color somewhere on the side of the case so we can see what we need a bit easier. Here's a wonderful opportunity for someone to make a holder for the pads, marker, re-inkers all in one!

I saw those at Ikea a couple months ago and thought about it but they were angled and I was afraid storing my pads slightly diagonal would cause the ink to run to one side. Have you had that problem or are yours different then what I saw?
I can't believe it! I ordered the Fellowes cassette holder pictured in this thread on Sunday off of their website. It's out for delivery today and I requested standard shipping! Of course it's only going from IL to WI, but still...that is quick!
