Default Michaels $ clear stamps for each month!!

Today I was in Michaels just browsing, and they had a whole bunch of new clear Studio g stamps in the dollar bins. They have a set for each month. They are really cute. I bought all 12 months.

Attaching a pic ...

Not really, but they were so cute I had to get them. I've never had good luck with getting clear sharp images with acrylic stamps. I'm going to try some of the tips that people have given .... rub an eraser on the image, "season" the stamp by stamping with versamark, then clean, then stamp in ink.

Ooooh those are adorable! Thanks for posting. I know what to hunt for when I make my frequent stops into Mikes I just found the series 11 clear stamps about two weeks ago. I really like the alphabet set, bought one, then realized I should get more of those for phrases and multiple letters in single words. Went back and had a hard time finding a couple more of those particular sets. I too have had so-so luck with the clear $ stamped images. But am going to do the eraser, versa mark tricks next time I use them. They are just too cute and cheap to pass up

Alrighty then . . . looks like I'll have to go to M's this week and see if I can nab a set of those -- they're dang cute!! I'm thinking they'd help make a really darling calendar.

As for the $1 stamps stamping, I've never had a problem using them with my SU ink. Usually, if 1 is trying to give me grief, I'll ink it up and stamp it on scratch paper repeatedly until it's stamping nicely, sometimes cleaning it between inkings. They sometimes feel like they have an oily residue on them and once that's gone, they work just fine.

Question Are there number sets too?

I know there have been posts about alphabet sets. Unfortunatley the closest Michaels often is pretty low and has a dismal stamp stock but I can usually find a better selection in the one 30mins away (not with these gas prices) or in AC Moore.

This is the number and alpha sets I also got (also series 12). they don't match. I wish the alpha set had been italics like the numbers but oh well ... can't complain for $1 :-)

The "Proud to Be American" stamp that I used on the background of this card is from the July set. I bought the set just for that stamp! LOL. For $1 it's worth it.

My Michale's store doesn't have them :( They only had a few of the St. Patrick's Day clear $ stamps. But I'll be sure to look again when I'm there next time.

Yup, when I realized they had all 12 months I had to get them. They are cute. I was not surprised to see a thread about them!

I bought one of the alphas too. I had to cut them down to use them. They worked pretty well although a couple of the letters don't seem to "stick" well.

Well so far my M's hasn't had these . . . I've checked 3 times since this thread was posted. Unfortunately, my M's (which just opened this year so you'd think it might be better) takes forever to get stuff. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll eventually show up there.

did you want some one to buy it for u then mail it to you for whatever it costs?
i can probably do it then. but it would probably come out to like 5-7 dollars since the post office has gotten so expensive nowadays :/
