Hello!  I’m the challenge hostess at CAS Colours & Sketches for the month of May.  I’m looking forward to seeing what our challenge participants make with the challenges I’ve created!

As usual, we’re starting off the month with a color challenge.  I’ve used the three colors from the combination to stamp a rose and some leaves, using generational stamping to get the different shades of green and marigold.  (I don’t actually own any Mango Melody cardstock or ink, so I’ve used a long-retired In Color called Marigold Morning as a close substitute.)  I stamped the images on a scrap of white cardstock, fussy cut them, and then assembled them together.  I used dimensional adhesive to attach the flower to the card.  The layout for my card is my take on a recent Freshly Made Sketches challenge; unfortunately for me, that challenge has already ended so I can’t link my card there.  The white cardstock background has a subtle linen texture that is very hard to capture in photos, but it does add extra visual interest to the card.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the CC&S Design Team and our May guest designer have made! Then create your own clean and simple styled card with these colors and link it to the CC&S site by 6:00 p.m. Eastern time Monday, May 13.  We’d love to see what you make!

All supplies for this card are from Stampin’ Up.
Stamps: Picture Perfect
Cardstock: Marigold Morning, Whisper White textured, Whisper White
Ink: Marigold Morning, Mango Melody, Garden Green
Other: dimensionals
