Taylor VanBruggen - Tayloredexpressions
Me!?!? A Dirty Girl??? I keep pinching myself just to make sure I'm not imagining things! When I got the PM from Julie my jaw dropped and I jumped right out of the chair in my small office cubicle. I ran out the door absolutely giddy to call all my Splitcoast friends and share the news. Then I remembered the subject of Julie's PM. . . CONFIDENTIAL (in big bold letters). So I figured I better settle for sharing this news with my husband (who wouldn'tbe nearly as excited as my friends). After asking my husband "Should I do it?!" (his response "Ummm. . . yeah!") I fired back an excited PM to Julie!
My name is Taylor VanBruggen - tayloredexpressions here on SCS. I'm 24 years old and married to the love of my life for almost 3 years. We live in Pasadena, California where my husband attends graduate school at Fuller Theological Seminary and I work full-time as an accountant for a non-profit foundation. He will be graduating in June after which we plan to move back where we came from, the beautiful state of Michigan . . . Grand Rapids to be exact! The beaches of Lake Michigan, the crisp fall days, the turning of the leaves, and even the snow are calling my name! I'm especially looking forward to moving out of an apartment, starting a family, and having a stamp room to call my very own!
My creative spirit has been encouraged for as long as I can remember. My mom is an interior decorator and jack of all trades in the craft arena. I fondly remember my first craft show with my mom when I was six years old. I picked up scraps from her craft room floor to make my own handmade goodies. I walked the show with my creations on a little tray and I was ecstatic about the opportunity to sell my goodies to friends and family. My journey into papercrafting started during college when a couple friends introduced me to scrapbooking. Scrapbooking soon turned into cardmaking and a Stampin' Up catalog made its way into my hands from another friend. Of course I wanted everything in the catalog so I decided to become a demonstrator in November 2005.
I found Splitcoast through another papercrafting site and I remember wondering "How did I miss this before!?" This site is filled with so much talent and inspiration and my stamping has improved because of it! I feel so lucky to be asked to join such a talented group of women and I will do my best to inspire as I have been inspired! I'm excited to be here!
